Flocculation using selected cationic polymers reduces high‐risk host cell proteins in monoclonal antibody processes already during primary recovery

open access: yesBiotechnology Progress, EarlyView.
Flocculation using cationic polymers leads to the creation of large floc complexes. Negative charged species like cells, cell debris, and negatively charged host cell impurities like host cell DNA and host cell proteins are trapped within the complex while the positively charged monoclonal antibody stays in solution.
