Electrically Conducting Redox‐Complementary Dual‐Ligand 2D Graphitic MOF with Orthogonal Charge Transport Pathways

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, Volume 11, Issue 15, September 18, 2025.
The first redox‐complementary dual‐ligand hexagonal 2D metal‐organic framework (CDL‐MOF1) was constructed via heteroleptic coordination of a π‐donor hexahydroxytriphenylene ligand and a π‐acceptor hexahydroxytricycloquinazoline ligand with Cu(II) nodes.

The Relative Accuracy of Different Methods for Measuring Mind Wandering Subtypes: A Systematic Review

open access: yesBrain and Behavior, Volume 15, Issue 8, August 2025.
How do we accurately measure mind wandering? This review compares five methods: from self‐reports (prone to bias) to brain scans (precise but expensive). No single method captures all aspects, so we propose the MAMW framework—a unified approach combining strengths of each technique.

"It's so little money you could make as much at home" - options for work in an impoverished rural region of high unemployment. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Hungary has a higher unemployment rate than the member states of the European Union and even most former socialist countries. This rate for 15-64 year-olds has been around 56% since 1999, as against 66% in the European Union (OECD Employment Database ...

Earth System Model Tuning Without Hyperparameters

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Modeling Earth Systems, Volume 17, Issue 7, July 2025.
Abstract This article introduces a new algorithm, KalmRidge, and demonstrates its ability to tune an Earth system model using idealized experiments. Unlike similar algorithms, KalmRidge eliminates the need for offline hyperparameter selection, thereby substantially reducing computational expense.

A Sumerian "Paradise" Myth. BASOR SS 1, New Haven). Vu les constants progrès de la grammaire et de la lexicographie sumériennes d'une part, la découverte, d'autre part, d'un troisième duplicat (UET ...

Even cooler insights: On the power of forests to (water the Earth and) cool the planet

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology, Volume 30, Issue 2, February 2024.
We assess the cooling power of forest cover at both the local and global scales. Our differentiated approach based on the use of multiple diagnostic metrics suggests that surface albedo effects are typically overemphasized at the expense of top‐of‐cloud reflectivity.

Mitigating Masked Pixels in a Climate-Critical Ocean Dataset

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Clouds and other data artefacts frequently limit the retrieval of key variables from remotely sensed Earth observations. We train a natural language processing (NLP)-inspired algorithm with high-fidelity ocean simulations to accurately reconstruct masked
