On the enrichment of random factors models
To test the main e ects and interactions in random e ects models we consider an orthogonal partition in subspaces associated to the subset of factors. Availing ourselves of the much larger dimension of one of the subspaces in the orthogonal partition, we enrich the model by imbedding linear regressions.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...

Mining waste often contains elevated concentrations of V, Cr, As, Sb, and Pb. Stibnite mining, during extraction and processing, generates waste that is deposited directly onto soil without vegetation cover, potentially leading to environmental pollution.

Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

Polyglutamine and Polyalanine Tracts Are Enriched in Transcription Factors of Plants.
Polyglutamine (polyQ) tracts have been studied extensively for their roles in a number of human diseases such as Huntington's or different Ataxias. However, it has also been recognized that polyQ tracts are abundant and may have important functional and evolutionary roles.

CT10 regulator of kinase (CRK) and CRK‐Like (CRKL) are signaling adaptors driving cell adhesion, motility, differentiation, and proliferation. SH2‐domain containing (SH) proteins are enriched in YXXP motifs which when phosphorylated create preferred binding sites for CRK family SH2 domains.

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...
