Pheidole ensifera nov. spec. [[soldier]]. L. 4 bis 4,5 mm. Kopf enorm gross, fast doppelt so lang wie der Thorax, trapezfoermig, fast rechteckig, vorn etwas verengt, viel laenger als breit. Sehr aehnlich der Ph. longispinosa r. scabrata, aber viel kleiner und gedrungener. Basalflaeche des Metanotum so breit als lang.

New finds of the fossil Orthoptera Ensifera are described from the Perm of Urals and Trias of Kirghizia. A new family is established. The system of Proparagryllacrididae is revised with description within it of three new subfamilies. Nine new genera and 15 new species are described.
