Monogamy of Quantum Entanglement
Unlike classical correlation, quantum entanglement cannot be freely shared among many parties. This restricted shareability of entanglement among multi-party systems is known as monogamy of entanglement, which is one of the most fundamental properties of

We present a new measure of entanglement for mixed states. It can be approximately computable for every state and can be used to quantify all different types of multipartite entanglement. We show that it satisfies the usual properties of a good entanglement quantifier and derive relations between it and other entanglement measures.

Quantum computing for smart grid applications
Computational complexities in modern power systems are reportedly increasing daily, and it is anticipated that traditional computers might be inadequate to provide the computation prerequisite in future complex power grids. In that given context, quantum

We show that all multi-partite pure states can, under local operations, be transformed into bi-partite pairwise entangled states in a "lossless fashion": An arbitrary distinguished party will keep pairwise entanglement with all other parties after the asymptotic protocol - decorrelating all other parties from each other - in a way that the degree of ...

NONDISTILLABLE ENTANGLEMENT GUARANTEES DISTILLABLE ENTANGLEMENT [PDF]
The monogamy of entanglement is one of the basic quantum mechanical features, which says that when two partners Alice and Bob are more entangled then either of them has to be less entangled with the third party. Here we qualitatively present the converse monogamy of entanglement: given a tripartite pure system and when Alice and Bob are entangled and ...

Entangled Encodings and Data Entanglement [PDF]
We introduce a new cryptographic tool that we dub entangled encoding scheme. An entangled encoding allows a set of users to encode their files into a single digital "clew" such that the following two properties are satisfied. (1) Privacy: The resulting encoding reveals no information about the files contained inside the clew; (2) All-or-nothing ...

Investigation of Entanglement in the Moshinsky Atom [PDF]
One of the most critical aspects of studying entanglement states is quantifying the degree of entanglement. One of the entanglement measures for pure states is Van- Neumann entropy, which is why Van-Neumann entropy is also called entanglement entropy. In

Entangling power of the quantum baker's map [PDF]
We investigate entanglement production in a class of quantum baker's maps. The dynamics of these maps is constructed using strings of qubits, providing a natural tensor-product structure for application of various entanglement measures.

“Squashed entanglement”: An additive entanglement measure [PDF]
In this paper, we present a new entanglement monotone for bipartite quantum states. Its definition is inspired by the so-called intrinsic information of classical cryptography and is given by the halved minimum quantum conditional mutual information over all tripartite state extensions.
