A FILTERABLE VIRUS CAUSING ENTERITIS AND PNEUMONIA IN CALVES [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Medicine, 1943
An infectious disease of calves has been described which is characterized by fever, diarrhea, and pneumonia, followed soon by recovery. On autopsy of animals killed at the height of the disease, there is found a catarrhal enteritis and a bronchopneumonia that is usually confined to the anterior lobes of the lungs.

Enteritis due to Feline Infectious Peritonitis Virus

open access: yesThe Japanese Journal of Veterinary Science, 1982

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Isohemagglutinins of Graft Origin after ABO-Unmatched Liver Transplantation [PDF]

open access: yes, 1984
THE increasing success of liver transplantation in recent years has provided an experimental model to study and document the hepatic synthesis of many plasma proteins.12345 The normal hepatobiliary tract has not been regarded as a major source of ...

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

Simian Varicella Virus Infects Enteric Neurons and α4β7 Integrin-Expressing Gut-Tropic T-Cells in Nonhuman Primates

open access: yesViruses, 2018
The pathogenesis of enteric zoster, a rare debilitating complication of reactivation of latent varicella-zoster virus (VZV) in the enteric nervous system (ENS), is largely unknown.

Molecular characterization of the duck enteritis virus US10 protein [PDF]

open access: yesVirology Journal, 2017
There is little information regarding the duck enteritis virus (DEV) US10 gene and its molecular characterization.Duck enteritis virus US10 was amplified and cloned into the recombinant vector pET32a(+). The recombinant US10 protein was expressed in Escherichia coli BL21 cells and used to immunize rabbits for the preparation of polyclonal antibodies ...

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Molecular characterization of duck enteritis virus UL41 protein [PDF]

open access: yesVirology Journal, 2018
Duck enteritis virus (DEV) belongs to the subfamily Alphaherpesvirinae, and information on the DEV UL41 gene is limited. The DEV UL41 gene was cloned into the pET32a(+) vector and expressed in a prokaryotic expression system. Antiserum was raised against a bacterially expressed UL41-His fusion protein for further experiments.

Characterization of WAC interactions with R2TP and TTT chaperone complexes linking glucose and glutamine availability to mTORC1 activity

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
TTT and R2TP chaperone complexes are required for the assembly and activation of mTORC1. WAC directly interacts with components of TTT, R2TP, and mTORC1, and these interactions are affected by the availability of glucose and glutamine, correlating with changes in mTORC1 activity.
