Enterobacter aerogenes Primary Bacteremia in Pediatric Patients

Pediatrics, 1978
Enterobacter aerogenes bacteremia associated with the infusion of contaminated admixed intravenous (IV) fluid occurred in seven patients in a pediatric hospital over a five-day period. Clinical illness was characterized by spiking fever in all patients. The temporal clustering of cases allowed for rapid recognition of the problem.

Microbial fuel cell using Enterobacter aerogenes

Journal of Electroanalytical Chemistry and Interfacial Electrochemistry, 1989
Abstract A microbial fuel cell whose anode was steeped directly in a cultivating liquid was demonstrated to work long term by adding nutrients periodically. A fairly large current density (ca. 60 μA/cm2) was obtained by using a stainless-steel net electrode plated with platinum black.

Comparison of hydrogen and volatile fatty acid production by Bacillus cereus, Enterococcus faecalis and Enterobacter aerogenes singly, in co-cultures or in the bioaugmentation of microbial consortium from sugarcane vinasse

, 2020
Vinasse is a main residue of ethanol production, generated daily in large scale in Brazil. The anaerobic processing of vinasse can be a sustainable alternative for generation of fuel and co-products.

Gene transfer between Escherichia coli and Enterobacter aerogenes

Molecular and General Genetics MGG, 1983
Transfer of chromosomal genes between Escherichia coli K12 and Enterobacter aerogenes was carried out by P1-mediated transduction as well as by transformation of genes cloned in vitro on plasmid vectors. The efficient expression of E. coli genes in E.

An efficient ribitol-specific dehydrogenase from Enterobacter aerogenes

Enzyme and Microbial Technology, 2015
An NAD(+)-dependent ribitol dehydrogenase from Enterobacter aerogenes KCTC 2190 (EaRDH) was cloned and successfully expressed in Escherichia coli. The complete 729-bp gene was amplified, cloned, expressed, and subsequently purified in an active soluble form using nickel affinity chromatography.

Bioconversion of Calophyllum inophyllum oilcake for intensification of rhamnolipid and polyhydroxyalkanoates co-production by Enterobacter aerogenes.

Bioresource Technology, 2019
The biologically derived products are highly valued due to their biodegradability, low toxicity, and renewability. However, most production processes are exorbitant due to high raw material cost and the downstream processing required for product recovery
