Vapor Pressures and Vaporization Enthalpy of 2-Ethoxyphenol

Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data, 2012
The saturated vapor pressures were measured for samples of mole fraction purity of 0.9998 of 2-ethoxyphenol over the temperature range (380.221 to 486.033) K by comparative ebulliometry.

Estimation of the enthalpy of vaporization at normal boiling temperature of organic compounds by a new group contribution method

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 2018
We need to know the thermo-physical properties of different compounds in order to design, model or optimize the industrial processes. Among various thermo-physical properties, enthalpy of vaporization at normal boiling temperature is one of the most ...

Ionic Liquids: Dissecting the Enthalpies of Vaporization

ChemPhysChem, 2008
AbstractWe calculate the heats of vaporisation for imidazolium‐based ionic liquids [Cnmim][NTf2] with n=1, 2, 4, 6, 8 by means of molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and discuss their behavior with respect to temperature and the alkyl chain length. We use a force field developed recently.

Enthalpies of vaporization of seven alkylamides

Fluid Phase Equilibria, 1985
Abstract Enthalpies of vapirazation of formamide and six mono- and disubstituted N—alkylamides have been determined at 298.15 K, using a miniaturized effusion cell adapted to a commercial LKB microcalorimeter. The values obtained were consistent with those of other laboratories for other amides.

Vapor Pressure, Vaporization Enthalpy, Standard Enthalpy of Formation and Standard Entropy of n-Butyl Carbamate

Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering, 2014
Abstract The vapor pressures of n -butyl carbamate were measured in the temperature range from 372.37 K to 479.27 K and fitted with Antoine equation. The compressibility factor of the vapor was calculated with the Virial equation and the second virial coefficient was determined by the Vetere model.

Enthalpy of Vaporization and Vapor Pressures: An Inexpensive Apparatus

Journal of Chemical Education, 2007
An inexpensive apparatus is described for the determination of the vapor pressure of a liquid as a function of temperature for the purpose of calculating enthalpy changes of vaporization. The solid-state pressure transducer is linear above 100 torr, is useful in the range -40 to 85 °C, and is calibrated using pure water.

Phase Transition Enthalpy Measurements of Organic Compounds. An Update of Sublimation, Vaporization, and Fusion Enthalpies from 2016 to 2021

Journal of Physical and Chemical Reference Data, 2022
The compendium of phase change enthalpies published in two parts in 2016 is updated to include new fusion, vaporization, and sublimation enthalpies published in the interim and includes some earlier data either previously missed or were unavailable. Also

The vapor pressure and vaporization enthalpy of pristane and phytane by correlation gas chromatography

Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics, 2020
The vapor pressure and vaporization enthalpy of pristane and phytane, two compounds of interest to paleobotanists investigating the antiquity of life, have been evaluated and compared to existing values by correlation gas chromatography.

Low vaporization enthalpy of modified chitosan hydrogel for high performance solar evaporator.

Carbohydrate Polymers
The high vaporization enthalpy of water attributed to the strong hydrogen bonds between water molecules is limiting the performance of solar evaporators.
