Cumulative effects of lifelong systemic excess growth hormone on postcranial skeletal morphology in adult mice

open access: yesJournal of Anatomy, EarlyView.
Our μCT‐based pilot study reveals size and shape disparity in the adult postcranial skeleton of growth‐hormone model (bGH) mice relative to wild‐type mice. bGH mice have larger and more sexually dimorphic bones, with a systemic radiodensity increase in bony sesamoids and associated, but typically uncalcified, soft tissues.

Dupilumab‐Induced Psoriasis in an Adolescent With Severe Atopic Dermatitis: Successful Management With Abrocitinib

open access: yesPediatric Dermatology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Psoriasiform eruptions have been described in patients treated with dupilumab. This case report describes an adolescent with severe atopic dermatitis who developed a widespread psoriasiform dermatitis 8 months after starting dupilumab. His therapy was switched to abrocitinib resulting in near‐complete resolution of the psoriatic lesions with ...

Dual Targeted Therapy as a Treatment Strategy for Refractory Psoriatic Arthritis: Real‐World Effectiveness and Safety From a Prospective Cohort

open access: yesACR Open Rheumatology, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
Objective To describe patient profiles, treatment patterns, clinical outcomes, and safety of intentional dual biologic or targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drug (b/tsDMARD) therapy in psoriatic arthritis (PsA). A subset of patients with PsA continue to experience persistent inflammation despite b/tsDMARD monotherapy.

Beyond Glucocorticoids: The Current Landscape and Prospects for Treating Immune Checkpoint Inhibitor‐Induced Autoimmunity

open access: yesACR Open Rheumatology, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
The rapid integration of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) into standard oncology protocols has birthed a new frontier in clinical rheumatology: immune‐related adverse events (irAEs). By disrupting the programmed cell death‐1 (PD‐1)/PD‐L1 and cytotoxic T‐lymphocyte‐associated protein 4 (CTLA‐4) axes to restore antitumor T cell activity, these ...

HLA‐B Associates With Distinct Disease Expression in Juvenile Spondyloarthritis: A Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesACR Open Rheumatology, Volume 8, Issue 8, August 2026.
Objective This study aimed to investigate for possible association between HLA‐B genotype and disease phenotype in children with juvenile spondyloarthritis (JSpA). Methods This was a cross‐sectional retrospective study of children evaluated at a large tertiary care rheumatology clinic.

Efficacy and Safety of Guselkumab in Participants With Active Psoriatic Arthritis After Inadequate Response to One Prior Tumor Necrosis Factor Inhibitor: Week‐24 Results of a Phase 3, Randomized, Placebo‐Controlled Study

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 78, Issue 8, Page 1674-1686, August 2026.
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of guselkumab, an interleukin‐23p19 subunit inhibitor, in participants with active psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and inadequate response (inadequate efficacy and/or intolerance) to one prior tumor necrosis factor (TNF) inhibitor.

Sustained resolution of enthesitis and peripheral arthritis over 104 weeks with bimekizumab in axial spondyloarthritis

open access: yesRMD Open
Background Bimekizumab (BKZ), a monoclonal IgG1 antibody that selectively inhibits interleukin (IL)-17F in addition to IL-17A, has demonstrated 2-year efficacy in non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA) and radiographic axSpA (r-axSpA) phase ...

Spondyloarthritis Preceding and Following Inflammatory Bowel Disease Diagnosis and Risk Factors: A Temporal Trends Analysis in a Population‐Based Cohort

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 78, Issue 8, Page 1666-1673, August 2026.
Objective Spondyloarthritides (SpA) and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) are immune‐mediated diseases with overlap in clinical and immunologic features. However, temporal correlation of SpA and IBD in individual patients and risk factors are not well characterized.
