Relative Growth of Series in Systems of Functions and Laplace—Stieltjes-Type Integrals

open access: yesAxioms, 2021
For a regularly converging-in-C series A(z)=∑n=1∞anf(λnz), where f is an entire transcendental function, the asymptotic behavior of the function Mf−1(MA(r)), where Mf(r)=max{|f(z)|:|z|=r}, is investigated.

Evolutionary interplay between viruses and R‐loops

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Viruses interact with specialized nucleic acid structures called R‐loops to influence host transcription, epigenetic states, latency, and immune evasion. This Perspective examines the roles of R‐loops in viral replication, integration, and silencing, and how viruses co‐opt or avoid these structures.

Circulating histones as clinical biomarkers in critically ill conditions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Circulating histones are emerging as promising biomarkers in critical illness due to their diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic potential. Detection methods such as ELISA and mass spectrometry provide reliable approaches for quantifying histone levels in plasma samples.

Multiplicative functionals and entire functions [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Mathematica, 1996
[Part I, cf. Stud. Math. 119, No. 3, 289-297 (1996; Zbl 0868.46037).] The following result is proved in this very interesting paper: Let \(A\) be a complex Banach algebra with a unit \(e\), let \(F\) be a nonconstant entire function, and let \(T\) be a linear functional with \(T(e) = 1\) and such that \(T\circ F\) defined from \(A\) to the complex ...

The epithelial barrier theory proposes a comprehensive explanation for the origins of allergic and other chronic noncommunicable diseases

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Exposure to common noxious agents (1), including allergens, pollutants, and micro‐nanoplastics, can cause epithelial barrier damage (2) in our body's protective linings. This may trigger an immune response to our microbiome (3). The epithelial barrier theory explains how this process can lead to chronic noncommunicable diseases (4) affecting organs ...

From omics to AI—mapping the pathogenic pathways in type 2 diabetes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Integrating multi‐omics data with AI‐based modelling (unsupervised and supervised machine learning) identify optimal patient clusters, informing AI‐driven accurate risk stratification. Digital twins simulate individual trajectories in real time, guiding precision medicine by matching patients to targeted therapies.

On the Growth of Higher Order Complex Linear Differential Equations Solutions with Entire and Meromorphic Coefficients

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
We revisit the problem of studying the solutions growth order in complex higher order linear differential equations with entire and meromorphic coefficients of p,q-order, proving how it is related to the growth of the coefficient of the unknown function ...

Composition of entire and analytic functions in the unit ball

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2022
In this paper, we investigate a composition of entire function of several complex variables and analytic function in the unit ball. We modified early known results with conditions providing equivalence of boundedness of $L$-index in a direction for such ...

On semiconjugation of entire functions [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Proceedings of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, 1999
Let \(f\) and \(h\) be transcendental entire functions and let \(g\) be a continuous and open map of the complex plane into itself such that \(g \circ f = h \circ g\). If \(f\) satisfies a certain condition, which holds if \(f\) has no wandering domains, then \(g^{-1}(J(h)) = J(f)\), where \(J(\cdot)\) denotes the Julia set of a function. Thus if \(f\)

ERBIN limits epithelial cell plasticity via suppression of TGF‐β signaling

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In breast and lung cancer patients, low ERBIN expression correlates with poor clinical outcomes. Here, we show that ERBIN inhibits TGF‐β‐induced epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in NMuMG breast and A549 lung adenocarcinoma cell lines. ERBIN suppresses TGF‐β/SMAD signaling and reduces TGF‐β‐induced ERK phosphorylation.
