Unsteady stator/rotor interaction [PDF]

open access: yes
The major thrust of the computational analysis of turbomachinery to date has been the steady-state solution of isolated blades using mass-averaged inlet and exit conditions.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Entire solutions to reaction diffusion equations

open access: yes, 2017
In this paper, we first use the super-sub solution method to prove the local exponential asymptotic stability of some entire solutions to reaction diffusion equations, including the bistable and monostable cases. In the bistable case, we not only obtain the similar asymptotic stability result given by Yagisita in 2003, but also simplify his proof.

Decaying positive entire solutions of the $p$-Laplacian [PDF]

open access: yesCzechoslovak Mathematical Journal, 1995
The paper deals with the problem \[ \text{div}(|\nabla u|^{p- 2}\nabla u)+ f(x, u, \nabla u)= 0 \] in \(\mathbb{R}^N\), where \(1< p< N\), \(N\geq 3\). The author employes the classical Schauder fixed point theorem and the subsolution-supersolution technique for the \(p\)-Laplacian.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

On the study of Brück conjecture and some non-linear complex differential equations

open access: yesArab Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2017
In this paper, we prove the following result: Let f(z) and α(z) be two non-constant entire functions satisfying σ(α)

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

The inhomogeneous Riemanian boundary – value problem with infinite index of the logarithmic order ρj ≥ 1 for complex Dini-Lipshitz contour

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 1999
Special choosing entire functions, the general solution of the problem in the class of bounded and analytic functions is obtained.

Entire solutions of quasilinear elliptic equations

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 2009
The author studies the entire solutions of non-homogeneous quasilinear elliptic equations for which the following two may serve as typical examples: \[ \begin{aligned} \Delta_pu\equiv \text{div}(|Du|^{p-2}Du) &=f(u), \quad p>1,\;x\in\mathbb R^n, \tag{1}\\ \text{div}\left(\frac{Du}{\sqrt{1+|Du|^2}}\right) &=f(u), \quad x\in\mathbb R^n.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
