Abstract Step‐selection analysis (SSA) is a popular tool for estimating resource/habitat selection conditional on the local availability of conditions as determined by an animal's movement capacity. These models can be subsequently used to parameterize a movement model; however, most SSAs focus instead merely on interpreting the direction and magnitude

Partial differential equations (PDEs) are widely used to describe relevant phenomena in dynamical systems. In real-world applications, we commonly need to combine formal PDE models with (potentially noisy) observations.

ABSTRACT In the last decades, critical advancements in research technology and knowledge on disease mechanisms steered therapeutic approaches for chronic inflammatory diseases towards unprecedented target specificity. For allergic and chronic lung diseases, biologic drugs pioneered this goal, acquiring on the way—through the clinical use of monoclonal ...

Experiences with Physics-Informed Neural Networks for Optimal Control Problems
Neural networks can be used to parametrize solutions of partial differential equations (PDEs). Specifically, physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) have gained popularity since they do not require numerically simulated or experimental data for training.

Compartmentalisation in cAMP signalling: A phase separation perspective
Cells rely on precise spatiotemporal control of signalling pathways to ensure functional specificity. The compartmentalisation of cyclic AMP (cAMP) and protein kinase A (PKA) signalling enables distinct cellular responses within a crowded cytoplasmic space.

Non‐canonical PKG1 regulation in cardiovascular health and disease
It is well established that the cyclic GMP‐dependent protein kinase I (PKG1) is canonically activated by cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), enabling its regulation of vascular tone, cardiac function and smooth muscle homeostasis. However, diverse non‐canonical stimuli of PKG1 have also been identified.

Consider the generalized Korteweg-de Vries (gKdV) equations with power nonlinearities $q=2,3,4\ldots$ in dimension $N=1$, and the Zakharov-Kuznetsov (ZK) model with integer power nonlinearities $q$ in higher dimensions $N\geq 2$.
