Interactive Entity Linking Using Entity-Word Representations

open access: yesProceedings of the 43rd International ACM SIGIR Conference on Research and Development in Information Retrieval, 2020
To leverage on entity and word semantics in entity linking, embedding models have been developed to represent entities, words and their context such that candidate entities for each mention can be determined and ranked accurately using their embeddings.

Linking chemical and disease entities to ontologies by integrating PageRank with extracted relations from literature

open access: yesJournal of Cheminformatics, 2020
Background Named Entity Linking systems are a powerful aid to the manual curation of digital libraries, which is getting increasingly costly and inefficient due to the information overload.

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Entity and Relation Linking for Knowledge Graph Question Answering Using Gradual Searching

open access: yesJurnal Nasional Teknik Elektro dan Teknologi Informasi
Knowledge graph question answering (KGQA) systems have an important role in retrieving data from a knowledge graph (KG). With the system, regular users can access data from a KG without the need to construct a formal SPARQL query.

Survivin and Aurora Kinase A control cell fate decisions during mitosis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aurora A interacts with survivin during mitosis and regulates its centromeric role. Loss of Aurora A activity mislocalises survivin, the CPC and BubR1, leading to disruption of the spindle checkpoint and triggering premature mitotic exit, which we refer to as ‘mitotic slippage’.

CGR-BERT-ZESHEL:Zero-shot Entity Linking Model with Chinese Features [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue
Currently, the research on entity linking tasks is less on Chinese entity links, emerging entities and unknown entity links.Additionally, traditional BERT models ignore two crucial aspects of Chinese, namely glyphs and radicals, which provide important ...

A Purely Entity-Based Semantic Search Approach for Document Retrieval

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
Over the past decade, knowledge bases (KB) have been increasingly utilized to complete and enrich the representation of queries and documents in order to improve the document retrieval task.
