Characteristics of the forest entomofauna of Poland

The present entomocenoses of Polish forests originated mainly in the Quaternary period, when the ice sheets of the Last Glaciation retreated. Only some mountain species in the Sudeten and Carpathian region were able to survive all of the Pleistocene glacial periods and are thus of a more ancient origin.

Entomofauna of heteroptera in alfalfa agrocenoses

During the period 2006-2009 has been studied entomofauna of heteroptera order in alfalfa to correctly determine the time to combat. The species of the order Heteroptera in lucerne crops were represented by 39 species of bugs, including 28 phytophagous and 11 predatory.
