Study on the Synergistic Effects and Optimization of Flotation Reagent Blends Under Low Reagent Consumption

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Under low reagent dosage, the flotation performance of diesel as a collector was enhanced, and the synergistic mechanism of diesel blended with oleic acid and CTAB was investigated. Results showed that compared to pure diesel, the oleic acid blended system (Blend A) increased clean coal yield by 81.52% to 92.24%, while the CTAB blended system (

Humidity‐Corrected Thermodynamic Modeling of Ammonium Chloride Crystallization Temperature Mechanisms and Application

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT As refineries process increasingly inferior crude oils, ammonium salt corrosion has intensified. Accurate prediction of ammonium salt crystallization temperatures and their influencing factors is therefore crucial for safe and stable operations.

Methane Pyrolysis Performance in Catalytic Molten Media for Hydrogen Production From the Perspective of Bubble Column Reactor Design and Configuration

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the hydrogen production routes from natural gas (methane), methane pyrolysis offers a cleaner option than the established steam methane reforming by producing CO2‐free hydrogen. However, in fixed bed reactors over solid catalysts, this technology experiences rapid catalyst deactivation due to carbon (coke) deposition encapsulating its ...

Experimental Study on Performance of Dual-serial-throat Nozzle Ejector and Two-phase Ejector Refrigeration Cycle System

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2014
The two-phase ejector refrigeration cycle (TPERC) system with a dual-serial-throat nozzle ejector was investigated experimentally, and the entrainment ratio of the ejector and the COP of the system were compared with those of the ejector with Laval ...

Entrainment characteristics of fine particles under high speed airflow

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
Fine silicon particles (mean size of 2.7 μm) are used as entrained materials, and the entrainment characteristics of fine particles are investigated in a cylindrical fluidized-bed (inner diameter of 28 mm and height of 1000 mm) under high speed airflow ...

Influence of Wall Deformation Structure on the Liquid Film Flow Behavior Under Turbulent Conditions

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT To explore the influence of typical wall deformation structure in the scrubbing‐cooling tube on the liquid film, this paper studied the liquid film flow behavior on the riblet walls with representative riblet radii and compared them with the flat wall. Under different liquid film Reynolds numbers (Rel = 8.3 × 103 ~ 3.14 × 104), the liquid film

Measurement of Smoke Entrainment Rate and Yield Ratio by a Downward Plume

open access: yesInternational Journal of Fire Science and Engineering
In some industrial buildings, ventilation system continues to be operated even after the break of fire in order to keep the necessary pressure differences. In such situations, supplied air at the ceiling creates a downward plume. The plume entrains smoke in the upper layer and move the smoke particles downward.

Characterization of the Effects of Jet Radial Position on Entrainment Ratio in a Subsonic Ejector

open access: yes, 2022
The work investigated an ejector-based intake, the Atlantis Intake System (AIS), in static conditions. A control volume (CV) analysis was presented and used to estimate the entrainment ratios of the AIS. The CV analysis also estimated momentum loss due to the jet’s interaction with the mixing chamber walls.

Complexity Analysis of Bubble Plumes in Power Law Fluids Based on Chaos Theory

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In order to reveal the complexity of the internal flow of bubble plume in power law fluid, the flow characteristics and chaotic characteristics of plume are studied by experiment and theory. The chaotic characteristic parameters (correlation dimension D, K entropy, and Lyapunov exponent λ) of gas velocity under different superficial gas ...

Efficiency Evaluation of the Ejector Cooling Cycle using a New Generation of HFO/HCFO Refrigerant as a R134a Replacement

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Theoretical investigations of the ejector refrigeration system using hydrofluoroolefins (HFOs) and hydrochlorofluoroolefin (HCFO) refrigerants are presented and discussed. A comparative study for eight olefins and R134a as the reference fluid was made on
