The luminescence of a heterometallic d‐s {Cu2I2Na2} phosphane‐phosphinate aggregate is regulated by an interplay of Na+–π/I– contacts and reversible coordination of oxygen‐containing organic molecules to Na ions. Supramolecular Mechanophore Additives Enable Mechanochromic Hydrogels

A supramolecular loop‐forming mechanophore featuring a quencher and an emitter is incorporated as a water‐soluble macromolecular additive into hydrogels. In the stress‐free state, intramolecular charge‐transfer interactions fold the loop and quench fluorescence.

Metal–Metal Cooperative C─F and S─F Bond Cleavage by Low‐Valent Tetracobalt Clusters and Water‐Assisted Fluoroarene Hydrodefluorination

Self‐assembled tetrahedral CoI4 clusters supported by simple bipyridine‐based ligands undergo core rearrangement to cleave S─F and C(sp2)─F bond, forming fluoride‐bridged tetracobalt(II)‐oxo clusters, while exposure of cobalt(I) clusters to molecular oxygen yields cubane‐type cobalt(III) oxo clusters.
