BD entropy and Bernis–Friedman entropy
In this note, we propose in the full generality a link between the BD entropy introduced by D. Bresch and B. Desjardins for the viscous shallow-water equations and the Bernis–Friedman (called BF) dissipative entropy introduced to study the lubrication equations.

Stabilizer Rényi Entropy [PDF]
We introduce a novel measure for the quantum property of nonstabilizerness - commonly known as "magic" - by considering the R nyi entropy of the probability distribution associated to a pure quantum state given by the square of the expectation value of Pauli strings in that state. We show that this is a good measure of nonstabilizerness from the point

Gibbs–Jaynes Entropy Versus Relative Entropy
The maximum entropy formalism developed by Jaynes determines the relevant ensemble in nonequilibrium statistical mechanics by maximising the entropy functional subject to the constraints imposed by the available information. We present an alternative derivation of the relevant ensemble based on the Kullback-Leibler divergence from equilibrium.

Two types of randomness are associated with a mixed quantum state: the uncertainty in the probability coefficients of the constituent pure states and the uncertainty in the value of each observable captured by the Born’s rule probabilities. Entropy is a quantification of randomness, and we propose a spin-entropy for the observables of spin pure states ...

Microcanonical entropy for classical systems [PDF]
The entropy definition in the microcanonical ensemble is revisited. We propose a novel definition for the microcanonical entropy that resolve the debate on the correct definition of the microcanonical entropy.

Cr and Mn play intriguing roles in determining the magnetic properties of CoFeNi-based high-entropy alloys (HEA). In this study, we tune the stoichiometric Mn composition to systematically explore the magnetic properties of (CoCrFeNi)1−xMnx HEAs.

Landauer's principle is applied to information in the universe. Once stars began forming, the increasing proportion of matter at high stellar temperatures compensated for the expanding universe to provide a near constant information energy density.
