Strings of group endomorphisms [PDF]
Recently the strings and the string number of self-maps were used in the computation of the algebraic entropy of special group endomorphisms. We introduce two special kinds of strings, and their relative string numbers. We show that a dichotomy holds for

Recoverable Random Numbers in an Internet of Things Operating System
Over the past decade, several security issues with Linux Random Number Generator (LRNG) on PCs and Androids have emerged. The main problem involves the process of entropy harvesting, particularly at boot time.

Linguistic q-rung orthopair fuzzy numbers (Lq-ROFNs) are composed of a set of q-rung orthopair fuzzy numbers (q-ROFNs) with membership and nonmembership degrees of linguistic variables, which can be regarded as an extension of linguistic intuitionistic ...

Weyl Numbers of Embeddings of Tensor Product Besov Spaces [PDF]
In this paper we investigate the asymptotic behaviour of Weyl numbers of embeddings of tensor product Besov spaces into Lebesgue spaces.

Practical True Random Number Generator Using CMOS Image Sensor Dark Noise
We present a true random number generator (TRNG) using dark noise of a CMOS image sensor. Because the proposed TRNG is based on the dark characteristics of the CMOS image sensor, it does not require any additional hardware, such as light source and ...

Entanglement through conformal interfaces [PDF]
We consider entanglement through permeable interfaces in the c=1 (1+1)-dimensional conformal field theory. We compute the partition functions with the interfaces inserted. By the replica trick, the entanglement entropy is obtained analytically.

The efficient generation of high-quality random numbers is essential in the operation of cryptographic modules. The quality of a random number generator is evaluated by the min-entropy of its entropy source.

Information transfer in signaling pathways : a study using coupled simulated and experimental data [PDF]
Background: The topology of signaling cascades has been studied in quite some detail. However, how information is processed exactly is still relatively unknown.

Design of a cryptographically secure pseudo random number generator with grammatical evolution
This work investigates the potential for using Grammatical Evolution (GE) to generate an initial seed for the construction of a pseudo-random number generator (PRNG) and cryptographically secure (CS) PRNG.
