Enveloping Actions for Partial Hopf Actions [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Algebra, 2010
Motivated by partial group actions on unital algebras, in this article we extend many results obtained by Exel and Dokuchaev to the context of partial actions of Hopf algebras, according to Caenepeel and Jansen. First, we generalize the theorem about the existence of an enveloping action, also known as the globalization theorem.

Uniform enveloping semigroupoids for groupoid actions

open access: yesJournal D'Analyse Mathematique, 2022
We establish new characterizations for (pseudo)isometric extensions of topological dynamical systems. For such extensions, we also extend results about relatively invariant measures and Fourier analysis that were previously only known in the minimal case to a significantly larger class, including all transitive systems.

Enveloping actions and Takai duality for partial actions

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 2003
We show that any continuous partial action on a topological space has a unique enveloping action, i.e. it is the restriction of a global action. In the case of C^*-algebras we prove that any partial action has an enveloping action up to Morita equivalence.

The complexity of architectural and anthropological dynamics in womb-tomb structures: An interdisciplinary investigation. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE
Our research investigates a collection of distinctive case studies identified as 'womb-tomb sacred structures,' scattered throughout the region colloquially referred to as the Holy Land.

Twisted Products: Enveloping Actions and Equivariant Absolute Neighborhood Extensors

open access: yesBulletin of the Brazilian Mathematical Society
The classical notion of twisted product is studied in the context of partial actions, in particular, we show that the globalization of a partial action is a twisted product. In addition, we establish conditions for the metrizability of twisted products, and some homotopy and categorical properties are proved.

Enveloping actions and duality theorems for partial twisted smash products

open access: yesFilomat, 2020
In this paper, we first generalize the theorem about the existence of an enveloping action to a partial twisted smash product. Then we construct a Morita context between the partial twisted smash product and the twisted smash product related to the enveloping action.

A Rigidity Theorem for Finite Group Actions on Enveloping Algebras of Semisimple Lie Algebras

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematics, 1995
Let \(G\) be a finite group of automorphisms acting (not necessarily linearly) on the enveloping algebra \(U ({\mathfrak g})\) of a semisimple Lie algebra \({\mathfrak g}\) over an algebraically closed field \(k\) of characteristic zero. The main result of this paper is that if the fixed subalgebra \(U^ G\) is \(k\)-isomorphic to any enveloping algebra,

Laser action in stellar envelopes [PDF]

open access: yesAstrophysics and Space Science, 1976
It is shown that in high-temperature stars in which high speed mass loss is occurring, the rapidly recombining plasma in the stellar envelope can act as an amplifying medium. Model calculations for laser action in Heii λ4686, using the collisional-radiative model, are presented.
