Enveloping action: Convergence spaces

Mathematica Slovaca, 2022
Abstract Given a partial action, an enveloping action in the context of convergence spaces is studied. Whenever the enveloping action space is not Hausdorff (T 3), a related enveloping action on a Hausdorff (T 3) space is developed.

Action of insulin at the nuclear envelope

Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry, 1991
Insulin binding sites are present on purified nuclear envelopes from liver and other tissues, and EM autoradiographs and other types of studies indicate that insulin can enter intact target cells and interact with several types of intracellular membranes, including the nuclear envelope.

The impact of imperfect maintenance actions on the degradation of buildings’ envelope components

Journal of Building Engineering, 2021
Abstract Usually, maintenance models consider maintenance actions as perfect, i.e. these interventions can restore the components to the “as good as new” state. However, in many situations, this assumption is too simplistic, and moreover it is not true. In this study, imperfect maintenance actions are considered.

Antivirals acting on viral envelopes via biophysical mechanisms of action

Antiviral Research, 2018
Most antivirals target viral proteins and are specific for only one virus, or viral type. Whereas viral proteins are encoded in the plastic viral genome, virion lipids are not and their rearrangements during fusion are conserved among otherwise unrelated enveloped viruses.

Viewpoint Insensitive Action Recognition Using Envelop Shape

2007
Action recognition is a popular and important research topic in computer vision. However, it is challenging when facing viewpoint variance. So far, most researches in action recognition remain rooted in view-dependent representations. Some view invariance approaches have been proposed, but most of them suffer from some weaknesses, such as lack of ...
