Transmission environmental scanning electron microscope with scintillation gaseous detection device
Ultramicroscopy, 2015A transmission environmental scanning electron microscope with use of a scintillation gaseous detection device has been implemented. This corresponds to a transmission scanning electron microscope but with addition of a gaseous environment acting both as environmental and detection medium.

Signal components in the environmental scanning electron microscope
Journal of Microscopy, 1999We demonstrate that the gas‐amplified secondary electron signal obtained in the environmental scanning electron microscope has both desired and spurious components. In order to isolate the contributions of backscattered and secondary electrons, two sets of samples were examined.

Investigation of C3S hydration by environmental scanning electron microscope
Journal of Microscopy, 2015SummaryTricalciumsilicate (C3S, Alite) is the major component of the Portland cement clinker, The hydration of the Alite is decisive for the properties of the resulting material due to the high content in cement. The mechanism of the hydration of C3S is very complicated and not yet fully understood.

Wettability study using transmitted electrons in environmental scanning electron microscope
Applied Physics Letters, 2010A method for quantitative wettability study at nanoscale is presented. It is based on measuring transmitted electrons through nanodroplets using wet scanning transmission electron microscope (wet-STEM) detector in environmental scanning electron microscope.

Real-time Photonic Measurements, Data Management, and Processing III, 2018
A Scanning Near-field Optical Microscope (SNOM) devoted to a commercial Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope (ESEM) is demonstrated in this paper. The system can be applied to biological samples and optoelectronic devices at the nanoscale to obtain their surface topography information and fluorescence spectroscopic information in situ.

Environmental Scanning Electron Microscope Imaging of Vesicle Systems
2009The structural characteristics of liposomes have been widely investigated and there is certainly a strong understanding of their morphological characteristics. Imaging of these systems, using techniques such as freeze-fracturing methods, transmission electron microscopy, and cryo-electron imaging, has allowed us to appreciate their bilayer structures ...
