On the capability of in-situ exposure in an environmental scanning electron microscope for investigating the atmospheric corrosion of magnesium.

open access: yesUltramicroscopy, 2015
The feasibility of environmental scanning electron microscope (ESEM) in studying the atmospheric corrosion behavior of 99.97% Mg was investigated. For reference, ex-situ exposure was performed.

Runaway electrification of friable self-replicating granular matter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We establish that the nonlinear dynamics of collisions between particles favors the charging of a insulating, friable, self-replicating granular material that undergoes nucleation, growth, and fission processes; we demonstrate with a minimal dynamical ...

Depletion layer imaging using a gaseous secondary electron detector in an environmental scanning electron microscope [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
: We present a method for imaging depletion layers using the gaseous secondary electron detector (GSED) employed in environmental scanning electron microscopes. GSED images of a p-np-n junction were obtained from a Si P+PNP+PN power diode.

Influence of water vapor pressure on the induction period during Li2SO4*H2O single crystals dehydration [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
International audienceThe dehydration of Li2SO4*H2O single crystals at 80 °C has been studied by means of both isothermal thermogravimetry at 2.6, 3.6 and 4.6 hPa of water vapor and environmental scanning electron microscope.

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Lensfree super-resolution holographic microscopy using wetting films on a chip. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We investigate the use of wetting films to significantly improve the imaging performance of lensfree pixel super-resolution on-chip microscopy, achieving < 1 µm spatial resolution over a large imaging area of ~24 mm(2).

Pioglitazone plus (−)‐epigallocatechin gallate: a novel approach to enhance osteogenic performance in aged bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Aged human bmMSCs are seeded in the scaffold. Osteoblastic induction can slightly increase cell's bone‐forming activity to produce bone‐like tissues, shown as the sporadic xylenol orange‐stained spots (the lower left image). Notably, pioglitazone plus EGCG co‐treatment dramatically increases cell's bone‐forming activity and bone‐like tissue production (
