Understanding the Xylan Content for Enhanced Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Individual Bamboo Fiber and Parenchyma Cells

ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering, 2019
To enhance the understanding of the effect of xylan removal on the cellulose ultrastructure and subsequent enzymatic hydrolysis, the top-down influence of xylan content on the cell wall, cellulose ...

Enzymatic hydrolysis of retinamides.

Drug Metabolism and Disposition, 1988
Enzymatic activity present in liver microsomes from rats slowly hydrolyzed N-(4-hydroxyphenyl)retinamide (4HPR). A product of the reaction was all-trans-retinoic acid. The reaction, which had a pH optimum greater than 8.6, was stimulated by divalent cations, particularly Mn2+.

2D-Metal-Organic-Framework-Nanozyme Sensor Arrays for Probing Phosphates and Their Enzymatic Hydrolysis.

Analytical Chemistry, 2018
The detection of phosphates and their enzymatic hydrolysis is of great importance because of their essential roles in various biological processes and numerous diseases. Compared with individual sensors for detecting one given phosphate at a time, sensor

Enhanced High-Solids Fed-Batch Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Sugar Cane Bagasse with Accessory Enzymes and Additives at Low Cellulase Loading

ACS Sustainable Chemistry and Engineering, 2018
High cellulase loading is still a major impediment in the production of fermentative sugars from high-solids enzymatic hydrolysis of lignocellulosic substrates in the enzyme-based “biorefinery” industry. This study attempted a high-solids (20%) enzymatic

[10] Enzymatic hydrolysis with carboxypeptidases

1972
Publisher Summary Carboxypeptidases are enzymes that remove amino acids one residue at a time from the C-termini of polypeptide chains. Three types of enzyme are characterized that differ in the rate at which they release particular amino acids. This chapter discusses the enzymic hydrolysis with carboxypeptidases.

Enzymatic Hydrolysis of Cellulose

1982
Despite many kinetic studies on the enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose, the attempts to deduce the rate expression for various kinds of cellulosic materials have not been successful. At present, it would be difficult to obtain a rate equation based on the reaction mechanism because of too many physical and chemical rate controlling factors, such as the ...
