Surfaceome Reprogramming of Stemsomes Promotes Lung Cancer Targeting via Potentiated Receptor–Ligand Interactions
Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study presents a surfaceome‐reprogramming strategy for mutation‐independent lung cancer therapy by repurposing dexamethasone to prime mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanovesicles. The engineered vesicles leverage multi‐valent interactions mediated by upregulated adhesion proteins, EPHA2, and NOTCH3.Geunhye Kim, In Ah Kwon, Bo Seop Jeong, Hyo Seon Kim, Joo‐Hwan Park, Sung Jean Park, Sang‐Rae Lee, Youngki Lee, Dongwoo Khang +8 morewiley +1 more sourceClinical Significance of PD‐L1 and HLA Expression in Esophageal Squamous Cell Carcinoma in Response to Immunotherapy
Annals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView. This study evaluated immune‐related biomarkers in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors after postoperative recurrence. PD‐L1 expression in tumor‐associated macrophages and tumor cells, together with HLA class I downregulation and HLA‐DR expression, were associated with favorable responses to immunotherapy.Kosuke Kanemitsu, Yoshiyuki Tagayasu, Yoshihiro Komohara, Cheng Pan, Rin Yamada, Yukio Fujiwara, Kazuto Harada, Keisuke Kosumi, Yoshifumi Baba, Masaaki Iwatsuki +9 morewiley +1 more sourceCorrection of Ineffective Erythropoiesis and Normalization of Iron Homeostasis After Exagamglogene Autotemcel in Transfusion‐Dependent β‐Thalassemia
American Journal of Hematology, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Exagamglogene autotemcel (exa‐cel) is a one‐time, ex vivo, CRISPR‐Cas9 gene edited cell therapy approved for patients with transfusion dependent β‐thalassemia (TDT) aged 12–35 years. In a Phase 3 study (CLIMB THAL‐111), exa‐cel treatment resulted in reactivation of fetal hemoglobin and increases in total hemoglobin, leading to transfusion ...Sujit Sheth, Selim Corbacioglu, Josu de la Fuente, Mattia Algeri, Joachim Rupprecht, Kevin H. Nihon Kyobu Shikkan Gakkai zasshi, 1992 Transbronchial biopsy specimens from ten patients with eosinophilic pneumonia were analysed to see whether the tissue contained activated eosinophils or secreted eosinophil cationic protein. The specimens showed many infiltrated tissue eosinophils in the intraalveolar spaces, and thickened alveolar septae and perivascular areas.Hamada, Kaoru, Nishikawa, Kiyoshi, Ako, Hirofumi, Morii, Takeshi, Kunimatsu, Mikikazu, Cho, Sumito, Tokuyama, Takeshi, Narita, Nobuhiro +7 moreopenaire +2 more sourcesThe 9th International RASopathies Symposium
American Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
The RASopathies are a group of congenital disorders with overlapping clinical manifestations that are caused by pathogenic germline or early somatic variants that result in the hyperactivation of the RAS/mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) signaling pathway.Pau Castel, Lisa Schoyer, Beth Stronach, Raya Bogdanova, Anton M. American Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
TECPR2 is a key regulator of autophagy, encoded by the TECPR2 gene. Pathogenic variants in this gene have been linked to a rare hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy with intellectual disability (HSAN9). We report a teenage female with a syndromic intellectual disability disorder associated with neuromuscular abnormalities.Teresa Zhao, Andrew P. Fennell, Tanavi Sharma, Katrina M.
