EPG research and therapy: further developments
Electropalatography (EPG) has been used in the past 50 years for studying the patterns of contact between the tongue and the palate during speech production in typical speakers and those with speech disorders due to different causes. At the 7th EPG Symposium in Japan that was held online on 24 January 2021 (see: https://epg-research.sakura.ne.jp/), a ...

On this research we study EPG graphs, in particular, we are interested on investigate the intersection between split and B2-EPGgraph classes. The results found in the literature regarding split graphs only concern about characterization in B1-EPG, that despite bringing some graphs that belong to this class, the bend number of split graphs it is still ...

The Power of Electropenetrography in Enhancing Our Understanding of Host Plant-Vector Interactions
The invasive Asian citrus psyllid, Diaphorina citri (Hemiptera: Liviidae), is the primary vector of the phloem-infecting bacterium, Candidatus Liberibacter asiaticus. Candidatus L.

Onion Seed Germination and Seedling Growth as Affected by PEG-Induced Drought Stress and Ascorbic Acid (Asc) Priming [PDF]
As agriculture in Iraq faces the challenges of climate change, particularly given the preference for consuming local vegetables, determining the drought tolerance of indigenous varieties and developing strategies to mitigate its impact have become a top ...

Eukaryotic translation elongation factor 1A (eEF1A) domain I from S. cerevisiae is required but not sufficient for inter-species complementation. [PDF]
Ethanolamine phosphoglycerol (EPG) is a protein modification attached exclusively to eukaryotic elongation factor 1A (eEF1A). In mammals and plants, EPG is linked to conserved glutamate residues located in eEF1A domains II and III, whereas in the ...

EPG bidimensional data reduction [PDF]
ABSTRACTSA new method of electropalatographic (EPG) data reduction is proposed. It uses the so‐called discrete cosine transform for representing an EPG pattern as a weighted sum of elementary ‘pictures’. It is shown that several of these pictures can be considered as being articulatorily relevant.

A structural domain mediates attachment of ethanolamine phosphoglycerol to eukaryotic elongation factor 1A in Trypanosoma brucei. [PDF]
Ethanolamine phosphoglycerol (EPG) represents a protein modification that so far has only been found in eukaryotic elongation factor 1A (eEF1A). In mammals and plants, EPG is covalently attached to two conserved glutamate residues located in domains II ...
