Structural Revision of the C16 Sesquiterpene Hegelenether and the Mechanism of C6‐Methylation in Terpene Biosynthesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
The structure of the non‐canonical C16 sesquiterpene named hegelenether was revised to the structure of marxdiol, and its absolute configuration was assigned. Isotopic labeling experiments revealed the stereochemical course of the methyltransferase involved in its biosynthesis.

Rapid RASER MRI

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, EarlyView.
Rapid RASER MRI allows for image acquisition without RF excitation. Instead, a population inversion on the nuclear spins is generated by SABRE hyperpolarization, which allows for self‐excitation through the RASER approach. When the desired transverse magnetization is built‐up, conventional EPI encoding is triggered to record the image.

The cranial, mandibular, and hyoid anatomy of softshell turtles (Trionychidae): A revised character list for phylogenetic analysis

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Softshell turtles (Pan‐Trionychidae) are an early branching clade of hidden‐necked turtles (Cryptodira) with a rich fossil record extending back to the Early Cretaceous. The evolutionary history of softshell turtles is still unresolved because of their conservative morphology combined with high levels of polymorphism related to morphological ...

Defining Optimally Safe and Effective Blood Levels of Hydroxychloroquine in Lupus: An Important Step toward Precision Drug Monitoring

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Background Using hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) dose of 5 mg/kg/day in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is associated with a higher risk of flares; HCQ blood level monitoring could be a better way to adjust HCQ dose. We studied the upper threshold for a reference range of HCQ levels to inform routine monitoring.

Long‐Term Outcomes of Reduced Intensity Conditioning Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation for Systemic Sclerosis Patients with Impaired Cardiac Function

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Accepted Article.
Objective High intensity conditioning autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (AHSCT) is standard of care for patients with advanced SSc. The role of reduced intensity conditioning (RIC) prior to AHSCT in this population remains unclear. We conducted this study to determine the long‐term outcomes of RIC AHSCT in SSc patients with cardiac ...
