Evaluating the Impact of Enhanced Stent Visualization on PCI Outcomes in Older Patients With Multivessel Disease

open access: yesCatheterization and Cardiovascular Interventions, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Optimal stent expansion is a key determinant of long‐term outcomes after PCI. Intravascular imaging provides the most accurate assessment of stent deployment but remains underused, especially in older patients with MI and multivessel disease.

Stereochemical Control in the Matteson Reaction

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The Matteson homologation is a highly versatile method for the stereoselective insertion of carbenoids into boronic esters. Through iterative application of the process, complex chiral molecules can be synthesized. The stereoselectivity of the reaction is determined by a chiral diol incorporated in the boronic ester.

Isoform Specificity of a Compound Targeting Actin Filaments Containing Tropomyosin Tpm1.8/1.9

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The unbranched actin filaments in mammalian cells are usually composed of co‐polymers of a specific tropomyosin isoform with actin. Genetic manipulation has revealed that the tropomyosins largely define the functional properties of actin filaments in an isoform‐specific, non‐redundant manner.

Clinical Significance of Acute Kidney Injury in Idiosyncratic Drug‐Induced Liver Injury: A Multicentric Propensity Scores Matched Study

open access: yesClinical Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.
Clinical significance of acute kidney injury in idiosyncratic drug‐induced liver injury: a multicentric propensity scores matched study. Evidence about the role of acute kidney injury (AKI) in idiosyncratic drug‐induced liver injury (DILI) is still scarce.
