The interplay between metabolic disorders and tendinopathies: Systematic review and meta‐analysis

This systematic review highlights a strong link between metabolic conditions and tendinopathies. Diabetes significantly increases the risk, especially for Achilles and upper limb tendinopathies. Dyslipidemia, statin use and body mass index changes also show associations, though evidence varies. Sex differences were observed in disease patterns.
