Seasonal Variation In The Composition Of Epicuticular Waxes Of Quevcus Robur Leaves
The epicuticular leaf waxes of Quercus robur were analyzed continuously over a two years vegetation period with preparation every week from April to November. The folded leaflets in buds have waxes quite different in yield and composition from those of mature leaves.

Morphology and chemical composition of Taiwan oil millet (Eccoilopus formosanus) epicuticular wax
Taiwan oil millet has two types of epicuticular wax: platelet wax composed primarily of octacosanol and filament wax constituted essentially by the singular compound of octacosanoic acid. Taiwan oil millet (TOM-Eccoilopus formosanus) is an orphan crop cultivated by the Taiwan indigenous people.

Leaf Epicuticular Wax Chemical Composition of Morettia phillaeana (Del.) DC. From Sudan
Morettia phillaeana was analyzed for its chemical composition of surface epicuticular wax. The constituents were extracted from the leaves by using n-hexane solvent, and were identified by using Gas chromatography-mass spectroscopy (GC/MS). The major components were hydrocarbons (74.15%), fatty acids, methyl ester (15.73%). and phytosterol (5.47%)

Topical antiinflammatory activity and chemical composition of the epicuticular wax from the leaves of Eugenia beaurepaireana (Myrtaceae) [PDF]
In order to verify the topical antiinflammatory effect of epicuticular wax from leaves of Eugenia beaurepaireana, it was tested in mice croton oil-induced inflammation. Our findings show that topical application of Eugenia beaurepaireana epicuticular wax

Composition of Epicuticular Waxes from Fruits of Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis [Link] Schneider) [PDF]
Abstract Epicuticular waxes were extracted with hexane from dry Jojoba pericarp and seed. These cuticular waxes consisted of hydrocarbons, wax esters, free acids, free alcohols and sterols; additionally aldehydes were found in the wax obtained from seed coats.

Organ Specific Composition of Epicuticular Waxes of Cistus albidus L., Cistaceae [PDF]
Abstract Epicuticular waxes from various organs of Cistus albidus L. showed always an organ specific composition. Leaf wax contained homologous series of very long chained and saturated wax components, such as hydrocarbons, wax esters, fatty acids and alcohols.

Composition differences between epicuticular and intracuticular wax substructures: How do plants seal their epidermal surfaces? [PDF]
The protective wax coating on plant surfaces has long been considered to be non-uniform in composition at a subcellular scale. In recent years, direct evidence has started to accumulate showing quantitative compositional differences between the epicuticular wax (i.e. wax exterior to cutin that can be mechanically peeled off) and intracuticular wax (i.e.

The impact of drought on wheat leaf cuticle properties [PDF]
Background The plant cuticle is the outermost layer covering aerial tissues and is composed of cutin and waxes. The cuticle plays an important role in protection from environmental stresses and glaucousness, the bluish-white colouration of plant surfaces
