An epidermal cyst is a very unusual cause of a renal mass, with only three cases reported in English literature. The authors report a case of this in a 51‐year‐old man with left flank pain and hematuria. A 5 × 4 cm‐sized cystic mass, having an irregular margin with stippled calcification, was identified in the lower pole of the left kidney.

This paper presents a case of perineal epidermal cyst. Diagnostic imagings by ultrasonography, CT scanning and MR imaging described the mass as a cystic tumor on the perineal median raphe. It was excised for the histological diagnosis. The removed mass was shown microscopically to be filled with laminated keratin and to be lined with differentiated ...

Abstract An epidermal or sebaceous cyst of unusual dimensions has been reported. It was removed via the oral cavity to prevent possible keloidal scarring of the patient's face. It is seldom that the oral surgeon has an opportunity to remove such a cyst through the oral cavity.

The pigmented epidermal cyst (black keratinous cyst) is peculiar to the Negro race. Ninety‐seven % of our cases occurred in Negroes. Thirty‐seven % of the epidermal cysts in Negroes were heavily pigmented. A relationship between the black keratinous cyst and hemochromatosis has been proposed.

A patient developed a painful subungual lesion which was an epidermal cyst on biopsy. The incidence and pathogenesis of subungual epidermal cysts are reviewed. This usually asymptomatic tumor should be considered in the differential diagnosis of subungual lesions.

AbstractA 58‐year‐old Japanese woman with a pigmented epidermal cyst on the upper arch of the right external ear is described. The blue appearance of the cyst was striking and uncommon in Japanese. Histologically, abundant melanin pigment was observed in the keratinous mass of the cavity, and epithelial cells showed epidermoid keratinization.

There are few reports documenting the presence of melanin or melanocytes in epidermal cysts. One hundred and twenty five epidermal cysts from Indian patients were analyzed for the presence of melanin pigment and their sites were noted. A Masson's Fontana stain and immunohistochemistry for S-100 protein and HMB 45 was performed for localization of ...

Penile epidermal inclusion cyst
The Indian Journal of Pediatrics, 2010We report a case of epidermal inclusion cyst of penis in a five-year-old boy, who had presented to the outpatient department of our hospital. Epidermal inclusion cysts are benign lesions that can develop in any part of the body. However, the finding of an epidermal inclusion cyst in the penis is rare. The child was operated and discharged uneventfully.
