PGC‐1α Transcriptionally Regulated by ChREBP Mitigates Neuropathic Pain Through Promoting Microglial Fatty Acid Oxidation and Anti‐Inflammatory Response

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 1, January 2026.
ChREBP transcriptionally regulates PGC‐1α, which enhances the expression of fatty acid oxidation genes, promotes the fatty acid oxidation process, and thereby increases the polarization of anti‐inflammatory microglia, reduces the level of inflammatory factors, and improves pain symptoms.

Manual versus forceps postplacental IUD insertion after vaginal delivery: A randomized clinical trial

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 172, Issue 1, Page 510-517, January 2026.
Abstract Objectives This study compares the expulsion rate of the postplacental copper intrauterine device (IUD) based on the insertion technique: manual versus ring forceps. Pain, perforation, infection, and increased bleeding were assessed as secondary outcomes.

Increased lumbar puncture success using a paramedian approach: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesJournal of Hospital Medicine, Volume 21, Issue 1, Page 42-48, January 2026.
Abstract Background Lumbar puncture (LP) is frequently necessary in hospitalized patients for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. Traditional landmark identification by palpation of the lumbar spine and pelvis can see significant failure rates. A paramedian approach is an accepted, though less frequently used technique associated with higher success ...

Pharmacological Inhibition of EZH2 by GSK‐343 Attenuates Neuroinflammation in a Mouse Model of Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Research, Volume 104, Issue 1, January 2026.
In a mouse model of spinal cord injury, pharmacological inhibition of EZH2 with GSK‐343 reduces tissue damage and neuronal demyelination. GSK‐343 suppresses the EZH2/TRAF6/NF‐κB signaling pathway, leading to attenuation of neuroinflammation and innate immune activation. These effects promote early neuroprotection and improved locomotor recovery in vivo.

Impact of Environmental and Seasonal Factors on Spontaneous Pneumomediastinum With and Without Pneumorrhachis

open access: yesThe Kaohsiung Journal of Medical Sciences, Volume 42, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Spontaneous pneumomediastinum (SPM) with pneumorrhachis is rare but generally benign and self‐limiting. However, the impact of environmental and seasonal factors on SPM remains unclear. This study investigated their association with SPM onset and clinical outcomes.

Pharmacotherapeutic Controversies During Temperature Control After Out‐of‐Hospital Cardiac Arrest: A Semi‐Structured Literature Review

open access: yesPharmacotherapy: The Journal of Human Pharmacology and Drug Therapy, Volume 46, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Post‐resuscitation cardiac arrest care begins at the time of hospital admission and focuses on preventing the sequelae of ischemia–reperfusion injury, including secondary brain damage and post‐cardiac arrest syndrome. Clinical practice guidelines on post‐resuscitation cardiac arrest care from international medical organizations outline ...

The psychological impact of childbirth: Unscheduled cesarean delivery associates with increased risk for acute stress response

open access: yesPregnancy, Volume 2, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Introduction Cesarean delivery is one of the most common surgical procedures in the United States. Despite their frequency and medical necessity, the acute psychological response associated with unscheduled cesarean delivery is unknown. This study aimed to assess the rates and nature of peritraumatic stress reactions during and shortly after ...
