Epidural stimulator catheter

Techniques in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management, 2002
Abstract The idea epidural test should be safe and easy to use with readily available materials and monitoring devices. One should also be able to use the test to reliably detect incorrectly placed epidural cathetes while performing the procedure. This would allow adjustments to be made at the time of insertion.

Evaluation of optimal electrode configurations for epidural spinal cord stimulation in cervical spinal cord injured rats [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Neuroscience Methods, 2015
© 2015 Elsevier B.V. Background: Epidural spinal cord stimulation is a promising technique for modulating the level of excitability and reactivation of dormant spinal neuronal circuits after spinal cord injury (SCI).

Computational modeling of epidural cortical stimulation

Journal of Neural Engineering, 2008
Epidural cortical stimulation (ECS) is a developing therapy to treat neurological disorders. However, it is not clear how the cortical anatomy or the polarity and position of the electrode affects current flow and neural activation in the cortex. We developed a 3D computational model simulating ECS over the precentral gyrus.
