Tectonic-magmatic setting for Early Cretaceous low-sulfidation epithermal gold deposits in the Xing–Meng Orogenic Belt: Constraints from zircon U–Pb and Hf isotopic data of wulaga deposit, NE China

open access: yesSolid Earth Sciences, 2022
The Xing–Meng Orogenic Belt hosts an amount of low-sulfidation epithermal gold deposits. However, the tectonic-magmatic setting remains problematic, which hinders understanding the factors that control the gold endowment in the region.

Quantification of 10B and 11B in Biological Samples in Translational Science and Clinical Applications for Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT)

open access: yesMedicinal Research Reviews, Volume 46, Issue 5, Page 1362-1389, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is a targeted radiotherapy that exploits the selective accumulation of the 10B isotope within tumors, followed by irradiation with low‐energy neutrons to induce high linear energy transfer particles with short path lengths, resulting in localized tumor cell destruction while sparing surrounding healthy ...

Epithermal neutron beam interference with cardiac pacemakers [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Radiation and Isotopes, 2011
In this paper, a phantom study was performed to evaluate the effect of an epithermal neutron beam irradiation on the cardiac pacemaker function. Severe malfunction occurred in the pacemakers after substantially lower dose from epithermal neutron irradiation than reported in the fast neutron or photon beams at the same dose rate level.

Latitude Survey of Neutrons and Muons to Determine Cosmic Ray Neutron Sensing Yield Functions

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Cosmic Ray Neutron Sensing (CRNS) is a ground‐based technique that utilizes epithermal neutron measurements as a proxy for environmental hydrogen content. Similarly to other ground‐based cosmic ray detectors (e.g., neutron monitors), CRNS detectors are affected by the solar cycle and space weather events.

Petrological and Mineralogical Aspects of Epithermal Low-Sulfidation Au- and Porphyry Cu-Style Mineralization, Navilawa Caldera, Fiji

open access: yesGeosciences, 2019
The Navilawa caldera is the remnant of a shoshonitic volcano on Viti Levu, Fiji, and sits adjacent to the low-sulfidation Tuvatu epithermal Au–Te deposit. The caldera occurs along the Viti Levu lineament, approximately 50 km SW of the Tavua caldera,
