Characterization of a Viral EPS-Depolymerase, a Potential Tool for Control of Fire Blight [PDF]

A 3.3-kb fragment of genomic DNA from bacteriophage Φ-Ea1h encoding an amylovoran-directed depolymerase lyase was sequenced, and three open reading frames (ORFs) were detected. The first ORF could encode a lysozyme and the second a holin that may form a pore supporting cell lysis by the lysozyme.

Phase‐Resolved Dual Control of Phenol Photodissociation at the Air–Water Interface From Structure‐Resolved Statistics

Faster phenol photolysis at the air–water interface arises from two cooperative factors: a more favorable initial microenvironment for solvent‐side electron stabilization, which lowers CI access, and a more labile hydrogen‐bond network, which more readily reorganizes to stabilize the dark‐state intermediate.

The illustration of THBS1+ macrophages exacerbate MCs via SDC4‐dependent activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome. THBS1+ macrophage subpopulation was identified in MCs through single‐cell RNA sequencing. C. acnes and its metabolites activate THBS1 expression in macrophages via the TLR signaling pathway.

Femtosecond‐Laser Nanocavitation Regenerates SERS‐Active Plasmonic Nanogaps for Longitudinal Molecular Sensing at Biointerfaces

A regenerative molecular sensing platform that co‐localizes surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) sensing and nanocavitation‐based actuation. Femtosecond‐laser triggered nanocavitation produces thermomechanical forces to locally regenerate SERS‐active nanogaps in protein‐rich biofluids while preserving optical performance.
