EPSPS Gene Copy Number and Whole-Plant Glyphosate Resistance Level in Kochia scoparia.
Glyphosate-resistant (GR) Kochia scoparia has evolved in dryland chemical fallow systems throughout North America and the mechanism of resistance involves 5-enolpyruvylshikimate-3-phosphate synthase (EPSPS) gene duplication.

Fluctuations in time of onset of la-motoneuron EPSPs in the cat
Synaptic delay between Ia fiber volley and motoneuron EPSP was originally estimated at about 0.3-0.4 msec. When averaged individual EPSPs evoked by the action of single Ia fibers were recorded, it became evident that this delay was not constant but varied from synapse to synapse.

Factors that control amplitude of EPSPs in dendritic neurons
We have used a computer-based mathematical model of alpha-motoneurons and of group Ia synaptic input to them, based on anatomical and electrophysiological data from the cat spinal cord, in order to examine the effects of variations in neuron size and input resistance and of conductance magnitude and duration on the generation of excitatory ...

Thirty years of glyphosate-resistant crops and weeds: Current situation and future prospects. [PDF]
Since 1996, when the first glyphosate‐resistant crop was commercialized and the first resistant weed was reported, resistance has expanded globally. This review analyzes emergence patterns across weed species, crops, regions, resistance mechanisms, and herbicides.

Target-site and non-target-site mechanisms confer multiple herbicide resistance in waterhemp (Amaranthus tuberculatus) accessions from Wisconsin. [PDF]
The A101 accession is the first confirmed case of hydroxyphenyl pyruvate dioxygenase resistance in Amaranthus tuberculatus in Wisconsin, and the first report of P450s associated with atrazine resistance in A. tuberculatus globally. Abstract BACKGROUND A preliminary screening identified a multiple herbicide‐resistant waterhemp, Amaranthus tuberculatus ...

Host-Induced Silencing of Rhizoctonia Solani 5-Enolpyruvylshikimate-3-Phosphate Synthase Impairs Its Virulence in Rice. [PDF]
ABSTRACT Sheath blight disease of rice caused by the fungal pathogen R. solani AG1‐IA remains a big threat to rice production worldwide. A limited genetic variation in rice for tolerance to this pathogen and little success in understanding how it defeats host defence are major reasons behind it.

EPSPS gene copies in GR eccDNA.
A. Sequence similarity of GR eccDNA aligned to the eccDNA replicon. Blue and orange links indicate single or duplicated EPSPS genes. Grey links show broader sequence similarities. B. Self-alignment of the GR eccDNA containing multiple EPSPS copies.

Target-Site Mutations Conferring Herbicide Resistance
Mutations conferring evolved herbicide resistance in weeds are known in nine different herbicide sites of action. This review summarizes recently reported resistance-conferring mutations for each of these nine target sites.
