Clinical outcomes after detection of elevated cardiac enzymes in patients undergoing percutaneous intervention [PDF]
Objectives. We examined the relations of elevated creatine kinase (CK) and its myocardial band isoenzyme (CK-MB) to clinical outcomes after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in patients enrolled in Integrilin (eptifibatide) to Minimize Platelet ...

Impact of Surface Ligand on the Biocompatibility of InP/ZnS Quantum Dots with Platelets
InP/ZnS quantum dots (QDs) can be relevant for in vivo platelet imaging. It shows that careful selection of QD phase transfer agent is critical to maintaining platelet function. These results indicate that platelet‐QD interaction can occur across a wide range of concentrations.

The chaperone protein HSP47: a platelet collagen binding protein that contributes to thrombosis and haemostasis [PDF]
Objective: Heat shock protein 47 (HSP47) is an intracellular chaperone protein that is vital for collagen biosynthesis in collagen secreting cells. This protein has also been shown to be present on the surface of platelets.

Bridging Experience With Eptifibatide After Stent Implantation
Background: Patients who have undergone intracoronary stent implantation often require surgery within the first year after the procedure. Planned or emergent surgical intervention requires interruption of antiplatelet therapy and is associated with an increased risk of stent thrombosis. Eptifibatide, an intravenous glycoprotein
