Optimal Process Parameters in ECMAP of Al−3% Mg Alloy Strips [PDF]
Equal channel angular pressing (ECAP) is one of the most appealing severe plastic deformation (SPD) methods. The proposed equal channel multi angular pressing (ECMAP) process enhances the efficiency of traditional ECAP technique with decreasing the ...

Review: Processing of metals by equal-channel angular pressing
Equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) is a processing method in which a metal is subjected to an intense plastic straining through simple shear without any corresponding change in the cross-sectional dimensions of the sample.

The calculation of Geometrically Necessary Dislocations (GNDs) in iron processed by ECAP has been carried out via Electron Back Scatter-Diffraction (EBSD) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). Transmission microscopy reveled higher and more accurate dislocation densities than Electron Back Scatter-Diffraction at different deformation levels.

Shearing Patterns of AZ31 Mg Alloy Processed by Equal-Channel Angular Pressing via Various Route
Equal-channel angular pressing (ECAP) is used to convert coarse grain into ultrafine grain (UFG). The characteristics of ECAP and the shearing patterns obtained when ECAP applied to metals are investigated.
