Testing Equality of Correlated Exponential Variables

IEEE Transactions on Reliability, 1984
Summary: Four different procedures for testing equality of failure rates of correlated exponential random variables are presented. An example of each is given, but they are not compared in a general way.

Statistical test of VEP waveform equality

Documenta Ophthalmologica, 2009
The aim of the study was to describe a theory and method for inferring the statistical significance of a visually evoked cortical potential (VEP) recording. The statistical evaluation is predicated on the pre-stimulus VEP as estimates of the cortical potentials expected when the stimulus does not produce an effect, a mathematical transform to convert ...

Testing Equality of Generalized Treatment Effects

Journal of Biopharmaceutical Statistics, 2012
Recently, the concept of generalized treatment effect, defined as P(X > Y) where X and Y denote continuous outcome variables for treatment arm and control arm, respectively, has been proposed as an appropriate measure of treatment effect in clinical trials with parallel design.

Testing Equality with Strings

2021
When comparing strings together, there are some issues that can come up. When you work with primitive local value types like int, float, etc., these are stored as values on the stack that have unique memory addresses from each other. When you work with class types, like String, they refer to memory locations on the heap.

Testing equality in lisp-like environments

BIT, 1978
A function is presented to test equality between lists. In any case the function requires at most one single traversal of the lists and behaves as follows: -- if there are no cycles, it works as standardEQU AL functions; -- if there are cycles, it does not give information about equality, but it can detect cycles, i.e.

Testing variance equality with randmization tests

Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, 1989
A simulation experiment was conducted to explore the operating characteristics of randomization tests for testing the equality of two population variances. The F test, and adjusted testing procedure suggested by Box and Andersen (1955) were also included in this study.

Testing equality of modified Sharpe ratios

Finance Research Letters, 2014
The modified Sharpe ratio is commonly used to evaluate the risk-adjusted performance of an investment with non-normal returns, such as hedge funds. In this note, a test for equality of modified Sharpe ratios of two investments is developed. A simulation study demonstrates the good size and power properties of the test.

On set equality-testing

1994
This paper is concerned with data structures for representing an arbitrary number of sets of keys such that we can update the sets dynamically, query the membership of a set, and test whether two sets are equal. Such data structures have been studied intensively by a number of researchers [2, 6, 4, 5, 7]. Prior to our work, the best scheme supports set

Testing the Equality of Covariance Operators

2011
In many situations, when dealing with several populations, equality of the covariance operators is assumed. In this work, we will study a hypothesis test to validate this assumption.
