Robust acute myeloid leukemia engraftment in humanized scaffolds using injectable biomaterials and intravenous xenotransplantation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived xenografts (PDXs) can be improved by implantation of a humanized niche. We tested different biomaterials and approaches, and demonstrate that the combination of an injectable biomaterial for scaffold creation plus an intravenous route for acute myeloid leukemia (AML) xenotransplantation provide the most convenient and robust approach to

Longitudinal predictors of weapon involvement in middle adolescence: Evidence from the UK Millennium Cohort Study

open access: yesAggressive Behavior, Volume 49, Issue 1, Page 5-14, January 2023., 2023
Abstract This study uses longitudinal data from the UK Millennium Cohort Study (N = 13,277) to examine the childhood and early adolescence factors that predict weapon involvement in middle adolescence, which in this study is exemplified by having carried or used a weapon.

Targeted metabolomics reveals novel diagnostic biomarkers for colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study employed targeted metabolomic profiling to identify 302 distinct metabolites present in platelet‐rich plasma (PRP), revealing aberrant metabolic profiles amongst individuals diagnosed with colorectal cancer (CRC). Compared to carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and cancer antigen 19‐9 (CA199), our metabolite panel showed improved sensitivity ...

Spillover and crossover effects of exposure to work‐related aggression and adversities: A dyadic diary study

open access: yesAggressive Behavior, Volume 49, Issue 1, Page 85-95, January 2023., 2023
Abstract The past two decades have produced extensive evidence on the manifold and severe outcomes for victims of aggression exposure in the workplace. However, due to the dominating individual‐centered approach, most findings miss a social network perspective.

The N-Quantum Approximation and Bound States in Motion [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2011
We use an alternative method to the Bethe-Salpeter equation, the N-Quantum approximation (NQA), for studying bound states in motion. We use this method to find a relativistic equation for weakly bound states of two constituents with different masses. We present rules for interpreting simple diagrams associated with the NQA.

KMT2A degradation is observed in decitabine‐responsive acute lymphoblastic leukemia cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We demonstrate that decitabine (DEC) not only degrades the DNA methyltransferase DNMT1 but also the leukemic driver lysine methyltransferase KMT2A likely due to structural similarity of the DNA‐binding CXXC domains. DEC influences KMT2A downstream processes and synergizes with menin inhibitor revumenib (REV) to decrease leukemic cell proliferation, and

Factors modulating 99mTc‐MAA planar lung dosimetry for 90Y radioembolization

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, Volume 23, Issue 12, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Purpose To investigate the accuracy and biases of predicted lung shunt fraction (LSF) and lung dose (LD) calculations via 99mTc‐macro‐aggregated albumin (99mTc‐MAA) planar imaging for treatment planning of 90Y‐microsphere radioembolization.

Perturbation method for particlelike solutions of Einstein-Dirac equations [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
The aim of this work is to prove by a perturbation method the existence of solutions of the coupled Einstein-Dirac equations for a static, spherically symmetric system of two fermions in a singlet spinor state. We relate the solutions of our equations to those of the nonlinear Choquard equation and we show that the nondegenerate solution of Choquard's ...

ANALYSIS OF MOLECULAR MODELS UNDERLYING LOW-PARAMETRICAL EQUATIONS OF THE STATE: FROM EMPIRICAL MODIFICATIONS TO PHYSICALLY REASONABLE MODELS [PDF]

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2016
The paper presents some results of systematic approach to the search of physically reasonable equations of the state (EOS). The main result is that a large group of cubic EOS of VDV- type fits into the scope of the studied molecular model of interacting ...
