Information geometric inequalities of chemical thermodynamics
We study a connection between chemical thermodynamics and information geometry. We clarify a relation between the Gibbs free energy of an ideal dilute solution and an information geometric quantity called an f divergence.

Non-Equilibrium Thermodynamics View on Kinetics of Autocatalytic Reactions—Two Illustrative Examples
Autocatalytic reactions are in certain contrast with the linear algebra of reaction stoichiometry, on which rate equations respecting the permanence of atoms are constructed. These mathematical models of chemical reactions are called conservative.

Prediction of thermophysical and transport properties of ternary organic non-electrolyte systems including water by polynomials [PDF]
The description and prediction of the thermophysical and transport properties of ternary organic non-electrolyte systems including water by the polynomial equations are reviewed. Empirical equations of Radojković et al. (also known as Redlich-Kister),

The seminal Navier–Stokes equations were stated even before the creation of the foundations of thermodynamics and its first and second laws. There is a widespread opinion in the literature on thermodynamic cycles that the Navier–Stokes equations cannot ...

Chemical reactions can be modeled by a random time-changed Poisson process on countable states. The macroscopic behaviors, such as large fluctuations, can be studied via the WKB reformulation. The WKB reformulation for the backward equation is Varadhan's discrete nonlinear semigroup and is also a monotone scheme that approximates the limiting first ...

Solvation Thermodynamics of Organic Molecules by the Molecular Integral Equation Theory: Approaching Chemical Accuracy [PDF]
The integral equation theory (IET) of molecular liquids has been an active area of academic research in theoretical and computational physical chemistry for over 40 years because it provides a consistent theoretical framework to describe the structural and thermodynamic properties of liquid-phase solutions.

There exists a wide range and a considerable potential of alternative (non-certified) gas fuel types. Uncertainty and flexibility of non-conventional fuels’ composition seriously limits the possible exploitation of these energy sources.

In this work, we consider extended irreversible thermodynamics in assuming that the entropy density is a function of both common thermodynamic variables and their higher-order time derivatives.
