Equilibrium modeling of the beach profile on a macrotidal embayed low tide terrace beach
Eleven-year long time series of monthly beach profile surveys and hourly incident wave conditions are analyzed for a macrotidal Low Tide Terrace beach. The lower intertidal zone of the beach has a pluriannual cycle, whereas the upper beach profile has a predominantly seasonal cycle.

Equilibrium beach profile model for perched beaches
Coastal Engineering, 1999Abstract A beach profile equilibrium model for perched beaches is presented. The model assumes that wave reflection at the seaward and leeward sides of the breakwater is the most important process that modifies Dean's equilibrium profile model for non-perched beaches.

Barred beach profile equilibrium investigated with a process-based numerical model
Continental Shelf Research, 2021Investigating the equilibrium profile of a sandy beach is important to evaluate the beach response to natural forces. Empirical or semi-empirical relationships among beach states, wave climates and sediments properties have been established in various ...

Calculation of equilibrium beach profile
2012 IEEE/OES Baltic International Symposium (BALTIC), 2012This paper presents the results of evaluation of several methods commonly used in coastal engineering practice for equilibrium beach profile calculation. Three approaches were used to calculate the shape of equilibrium beach profile: the Bruun-Dean formula, the method prescribed by Coastal Structure Construction Code, and numerical modeling by SBEACH ...
