Hardy–Weinberg equilibrium and control subjects [PDF]
To the Editor: Consider a gene locus with two alleles, 'A' and 'a'. The frequency of allele 'A' will be designated by p and that of allele 'a' by q. Hardy and Weinberg showed that in a very large population with random mating, the frequencies of AA, Aa, and aa genotypes are p2, 2pq, and q2, respectively.

Relaxation to equilibrium driven via indirect control in Markovian dynamics [PDF]
We characterize to what extent it is possible to modify the stationary states of a quantum dynamical semigroup, that describes the irreversible evolution of a two-level system, by means of an auxiliary two-level system.

Bifurcation and Chaos Control of a System of Rational Difference Equations
We study a system of rational dierence equations in this article. For equilibrium points, we present the stability conditions. In addition, we show that the system encounters period-doubling bifurcation at the trivial equilibrium point O and Neimark ...

Density-feedback control in traffic and transport far from equilibrium [PDF]
A bottleneck situation in one-lane traffic-flow is typically modelled with a constant demand of entering cars. However, in practice this demand may depend on the density of cars in the bottleneck. The present paper studies a simple bimodal realization of

On equilibrium stability of gradient type automatic control systems
We consider two systems of gradient type automatic control systems where the control parameters and states are related by the potential function. The criterion of stable equilibrium loss for systems are suggested, more specifically the criterion using ...

Equilibrium mechanism between dc voltage and ac frequency for ac–dc interlinking converters
The equilibrium between dc bus voltage and ac bus frequency (Udc-f equilibrium) is the algorithm core of unified control strategies for ac-dc interlinking converters (ILCs), because the equilibrium implements certain mechanism.
