Study of the control-equilibrium of control systems

open access: yesJournal of Systems Engineering and Electronics, 2008
Abstract Not so much had been talked about equilibrium in control area. On the basis of the phenomenon of balance, the concept of control-equilibrium and control-equilibrium of a control system is proposed. According to this theory, a perfect control method should not only guarantee stability of the system, but also ensure the control-equilibrium of ...

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

Assessment of pressurizer dynamic performance for nuclear hybrid energy system modelling: Comparison between equilibrium and 1D non-equilibrium approaches

open access: yesNuclear Engineering and Technology
The importance of the pressurizer for the control and safe operation of pressurized water reactors translates into the need to develop accurate dynamic models to simulate the response of this component in various scenarios.

North Wind 4kW passive control system design [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
An overview of a mechanical rotor control design is presented. Operation at constant RPM and rapid response are obtained by using blade pitch moments for both sensing control need and blade pitch actuation. The basic concept, static or equilibrium design,

The Rate-Controlled Constrained-Equilibrium Approach to Far-From-Local-Equilibrium Thermodynamics

open access: yesEntropy, 2012
The Rate-Controlled Constrained-Equilibrium (RCCE) method for the description of the time-dependent behavior of dynamical systems in non-equilibrium states is a general, effective, physically based method for model order reduction that was originally developed in the framework of thermodynamics and chemical kinetics.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Spatially Controlled Out‐of‐Equilibrium Host–Guest System under Electrochemical Control

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, 2015
AbstractSelf‐assembly to create molecular and nanostructures is typically performed at the thermodynamic minimum. To achieve dynamic functionalities, such as adaptability, internal feedback, and self‐replication, there is a growing focus on out‐of‐equilibrium systems.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.
