Existence of Equilibrium in Incomplete Markets with Non-Ordered Preferences [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we extend the results of recent studies on the existence of equilibrium in finite dimensional asset markets for both bounded and unbounded economies. We do not assume that the individual's preferences are complete or transitive.

Dynamics of a Fractional-Order Predator-Prey Model with Infectious Diseases in Prey

open access: yesCommunication in Biomathematical Sciences, 2019
In this paper, a dynamical analysis of a fractional-order predator-prey model with infectious diseases in prey is performed. First, we prove the existence, uniqueness, non-negativity, and boundedness of the solution.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Existence for Competitive Equilibrium by Means of Generalized Quasivariational Inequalities

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2013
A competitive economic equilibrium model integrated with exchange, consumption, and production is considered. Our goal is to give an existence result when the utility functions are concave, proper, and upper semicontinuous.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

On the existence of a Ramsey equilibrium with endogenous labor supply and borrowing constraints [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper, we study the existence of an intertemporal equilibrium in a Ramsey model with heterogenous discounting, elastic labor supply and borrowing constraints.

Existence Theorems of ε-Cone Saddle Points for Vector-Valued Mappings

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2014
A new existence result of ε-vector equilibrium problem is first obtained. Then, by using the existence theorem of ε-vector equilibrium problem, a weakly ε-cone saddle point theorem is also obtained for vector-valued mappings.

Analysis of stability and Hopf bifurcation in a fractional Gauss-type predator–prey model with Allee effect and Holling type-III functional response

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
The Kolmogorov model has been applied to many biological and environmental problems. We are particularly interested in one of its variants, that is, a Gauss-type predator–prey model that includes the Allee effect and Holling type-III functional response.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Existence Results for Some Classes of Weighted Equilibrium Problems

open access: yesAxioms
Starting from some systems of vector equilibrium problems, we obtain the existence of the solution for a class of weighted equilibrium problems, under different types of generalized pseudo-monotonicity assumptions.
