Stability Analysis and Numerical Computation of the Fractional Predator–Prey Model with the Harvesting Rate

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2020
In this work, a fractional predator-prey model with the harvesting rate is considered. Besides the existence and uniqueness of the solution to the model, local stability and global stability are experienced.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Non-equilibrium critical point in Be-doped low-temperature-grown GaAs [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We studied the transition process of antisite arsenic defects in Be-doped low-temperature-grown GaAs layers by measuring the magnetization. This material exhibits bistability at non-equilibrium; at a fixed temperature in a fixed magnetic field a sample ...

Fundamentals of Synthesized Optimal Control

open access: yesMathematics, 2020
This paper presents a new formulation of the optimal control problem with uncertainty, in which an additive bounded function is considered as uncertainty.

Phosphoinositides and inositol phosphates as molecular glues

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Inositol phosphates (IPs) and phosphoinositides (PIPs) regulate diverse eukaryotic processes. Beyond recruiting signaling proteins or acting as structural cofactors, recent studies suggest they mediate protein–protein interactions as natural molecular glues.

Stability analysis in generalist predator-prey dynamics with predator harvesting [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Ecology and Software
This paper seeks to explore the stability assessment of a generalist predator-prey system with predator harvesting. The study presents a model examining the dynamics between primary prey and predator, considering the existence of a generalist predator ...

α‐Synuclein aggregation landscape from phase separation to neurotoxic intermediates

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Alpha‐synuclein aggregation in Parkinson's disease involves a complex landscape of transient intermediates, including oligomers, fibrils and liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS). A view is emerging in which LLPS maturation into solid‐like condensates may contribute to the formation of neurotoxic species.

Mixed‐class J‐domain protein scaffolds promote expanded aggregate handling and multivalent Hsp70 engagement during functional disaggregase assembly

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

On the role of non-equilibrium focal points as coordination devices [PDF]

open access: yes
Considering a pure coordination game with a large number of equivalent equilibria, we argue, first, that a focal point that is itself not a Nash equilibrium and is Pareto dominated by all Nash equilibria, may attract the players' choices.

Stability Analysis and Numerical Simulation of Prey-Mesopredator-Apex Predator Dynamic Model with Supplementary Food for Apex Predator

open access: yesJambura Journal of Mathematics
This study formulates and mathematically analyzes a three-species dynamic model involving prey, mesopredator, and apex predator, considering the presence of supplementary food available only to the apex predator.
