Valuable Cheap Talk and Equilibrium Selection [PDF]
Intuitively, we expect that players who are allowed to engage in costless communication before playing a game would be foolish to agree on an inefficient outcome amongst the set of equilibria.

Preopening and equilibrium selection [PDF]
In this paper, the authors introduce a form of pre-play communication that we call "preopening". During the preopening, players announce their tentative actions to be played in the underlying game.

This paper studies the outcome of fully insured random selections among multiple competitive equilibria. This defines an iterative procedure of reallocation which is Pareto improving at each step. The process converges to a unique Pareto optimal allocation in finitely many steps.

Improved Equilibrium Optimizer using Density-based Population and Entropy Operator for Feature Selection [PDF]
As the number of features in practical applications grows, the feature selection process becomes increasingly important. Since the feature selection problem is NP-hard, no exact algorithm can determine the optimal subset over a reasonable period of time.

Imitation and Local Interactions: Long Run Equilibrium Selection
In this paper, we analyze the long run dynamics of a multi-agent game played on a one-dimensional lattice with periodic boundary conditions, i.e., a ring.

Global Games and Equilibrium Selection [PDF]
Summary: A global game is an incomplete information game, where the actual payoff structure is determined by a random draw from a given class of games and where each player makes a noisy observation of the selected game. For \(2\times 2\) games, it is shown that, when the noise vanishes, iterated elimination of dominated strategies in the global game ...

EQUILIBRIUM SELECTION IN STOCHASTIC GAMES [PDF]
In this paper a selection theory for stochastic games is developed. The theory itself is based on the ideas of Harsanyi and Selten to select equilibria for games in standard form. We introduce several possible definitions for the stochastic tracing procedure, an extension of the linear tracing procedure to the class of stochastic games. We analyze the

Equilibrium Selection via Optimal Transport [PDF]
We propose a new dynamics for equilibrium selection of finite player discrete strategy games. The dynamics is motivated by optimal transportation, and models individual players' myopicity, greedy and uncertainty when making decisions. The stationary measure of the dynamics provides each pure Nash equilibrium a probability by which it is ranked.

Equilibrium and non-equilibrium furanose selection in the ribose isomerisation network
Furanose species have a key role in the chemistry of life despite their instability over pyranose ones. The authors, through NMR characterization of the anomeric ratios at equilibrium and a non-equilibrium theoretical treatment, show that a steady ...
