Failure Analysis of Photovoltaic Equipment Based on ISOMPNN

2019 International Conference on Advances in Big Data, Computing and Data Communication Systems (icABCD), 2019
ISOMPNN, a new incremental learning method based on the self-organizing map (SOM) and probabilistic neural network (PNN) is proposed to tackle the problem of model self-adaptation when new categories of equipment failures occur. It uses a modular SOM to learn each category of photovoltaic device data and then constructs a PNN using the prototype vector

Implementation of RFID-based Equipment Management System for Failure Analysis Laboratory Equipment

International Symposium for Testing and Failure Analysis, 2023
Abstract Completion of failure analysis (FA) cases require a lot of expensive equipment and tools. Equipment Management System (EMS) is a must to safeguard the equipment from being down/damaged due to uncertified/untrained and high number of users and to avoid high repair cost of the FA laboratory equipment.

Categorical data analysis for equipment failure prediction

2008 34th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2008
The effective approach to monitor the health state of equipment has long been a concern of industrial applications. This paper focuses on the categorical data analysis to build equipment degradation model for predicting equipment failure and monitoring the health state of equipment. Since large volumes of categorical data are generated and collected in

Failure analysis and diagnostics for railway trackside equipment

Engineering Failure Analysis, 2007
Abstract In the future, the dependability of the railway system must be improved to accommodate higher train speeds, greater axle loads, and increased service frequency. One way of increasing the dependability is through improved maintenance and failure management.

Risk Analysis of Equipment Failure through Failure Mode and Effect Analysis and Fault Tree Analysis

Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention, 2021
Competitive environment in manufacturing sector cannot afford frequent breakdown of aged critical equipment. In this paper, an attempt is made to develop a method to determine critical equipment with the help of failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) and occurrence of failure.

Failure analysis of frontal load-bar equipment

Engineering Failure Analysis, 2005
Abstract In the paint shop lines of an automotive plant, vehicles are moved around suspended by a vehicle-supporting mechanism composed of frontal and rear load-bars. Furthermore, the frontal load-bar is used as an electrical contact point for energy conduction, whereas the rear load-bar is electrically insulated.

Failure of planetary pinions in earth moving equipment—a failure analysis approach

Engineering Failure Analysis, 2000
A series of failures of planetary pinions occurred in the final drive epicyclic gearbox of large trucks used in underground mining. A metallurgical analysis indicated that failure had occurred by internal rupture of the gear. This was attributed to poor heat treatment procedures used in case hardening the gear.

Selecting Equipment for Failure Analysis

SAE Technical Paper Series, 1979
<div class="htmlview paragraph">For every failure, whether at the field test site or with the customer, there is a related cause. It is imperative that the exact cause be determined in order that appropriate corrective action may be taken. The field test engineer is immediately faced with deciding where the analysis shall be performed.

An Analysis of Major Errors and Equipment Failures in Anesthesia Management

Survey of Anesthesiology, 1984
Adaptations of the critical-incident technique were used to gather reports of anesthesia-related human error and equipment failure. A total of 139 anesthesiologists, residents, and nurse-anesthetists from four hospitals participated as subjects in directed or open-ended interviews, and 48 of them functioned as "trained observers." A total of 1,089 ...
