Venetoclax‐Based Therapy as a Bridge to Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Relapsed or Refractory Pediatric Acute Leukemia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Relapsed and/or refractory (R/R) pediatric acute leukemia carries a dismal prognosis, largely driven by chemoresistance to conventional salvage therapy. The BH3‐mimetic venetoclax, combined with chemotherapy or hypomethylating agents, has demonstrated efficacy in small clinical trials.

Determination of Equivalent Mohr-Coulomb Criterion from Generalised Hoek-Brown Criterion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Abstract A new analytical solution is presented for determining equivalent Mohr-Coulomb (MC) shear strength parameters over an arbitrary interval of minor principal stress σ3 from the generalised Hoek-Brown (HB) criterion using least squares method.

On Sober's Criterion of Contrastive Testability [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Elliott Sober has suggested his criterion of contrastive testability as an improvement over previous criteria of empirical significance like falsifiability.

Automating Security Analysis: Symbolic Equivalence of Constraint Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We consider security properties of cryptographic protocols, that are either trace properties (such as confidentiality or authenticity) or equivalence properties (such as anonymity or strong secrecy).

Equivalence and non-inferiority trials in the evaluation of non-pharmacological interventions: rationale, challenges and recommendations

open access: yesBMJ Open
Direct comparisons of non-pharmacological interventions are becoming increasingly common. Many randomised clinical trials are designed to assess whether the effect of one intervention is either equivalent to, or not inferior to, that of a criterion ...

Language, Culture, and Cancer: Qualitative Insights Into Communication Disparities Among Spanish‐Speaking Caregivers of Children With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Latino children are projected to make up nearly one‐third of United States (US) children by 2060, and many of their caregivers speak Spanish. Prior survey research has documented communication difficulties for Spanish‐speaking caregivers of children with cancer, but contemporary qualitative data are limited.

An integral criterion for the equivalence of plane curves

open access: yesManuscripta Mathematica, 1982
We give in this paper a necessary and sufficient condition for the Zariski equivalence of algebroid plane irreducible curves C≡(f=0) over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero and, in the analytic case, an integral expression for the characteristic numbers.

Bone Mineral Density After Contemporary Treatment for Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia: A Matched Cross‐Sectional Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Reduced bone mineral density (BMD) has been reported in survivors of childhood and young adult acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL); however, data from cohorts treated with contemporary protocols and including matched controls remain limited.

Bone and Soft Tissue Neoplasms in Infants Versus Older Children: A Report From the Cancer in Young People in Canada Program

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Aims Infant bone and soft tissue neoplasms present distinct clinical challenges and lack large‐scale data to inform treatment decisions. This study aims to characterize bone and soft tissue neoplasms in infants in Canada and to compare their outcomes with those of older pediatric patients.

Step-stress accelerated degradation test for Inverse Gaussian process based on M-optimality criterion

open access: yesScientific Reports
Step-Stress Accelerated Degradation Test (SSADT) has been extensively employed in reliability assessment of degradation-induced failure products, with growing attention focused on its optimal design.
