On the equivalence of codes and codes with an automorphism having two cycles

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 1990
This paper presents results giving sufficient conditions under which two codes are equivalent. This technique has been applied to certain binary quasicyclic codes. Self-dual codes of length 2r or \(2r+2\) over arbitrary fields having an automorphism of prime order r have also been examined. This study has further been used to construct and to count the

A New Decoding Algorithm based on Equivalent Parity Check Matrix for LDPC Codes

open access: yes, 2013
The article introduces a new LDPC decoding algorithm based on Equivalent Parity Check Matrix. Simulation results show that the new LDPC decoding algorithm can improve LDPC decoding performance.

Validity of a Wearable Digital Insole for Assessing Gait ON and OFF in Parkinson's Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Gait impairment is a distinctive symptom of Parkinson's disease that negatively impact mobility. We assessed the validity of wearable digital insoles against a validated reference gait analysis system for measuring select gait characteristics in patients with Parkinson's disease. Methods A comparative analysis between digital insoles

Aquatorialities of the Arctic Region – A Systems Theoretical Analysis of Risks

open access: yesNordicum-Mediterraneum, 2013
In order to describe the Arctic system I propose using a concept functionally equivalent to territoriality, namely aquatoriality. Whether communicating about territoriality or aquatoriality, concepts and delimitations are both contingent to forms of ...

Spatial and Volumetric Characteristics of Glioblastoma: Associations With Clinical Presentation and Survival

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective We aim to comprehensively analyze how regional tumor and edema characteristics are associated with clinical presentations and survival outcomes in a large cohort of glioblastoma patients. Methods Patients with IDH‐wildtype glioblastoma who received brain MRI from 2010 to 2023 were included.

Optimal type-II concatenated hybrid ARQ using single parity check codes

open access: yes, 2003
We consider an incremental redundancy (IR) type-II hybrid ARQ scheme based on multidimensional single parity check (SPC) product codes. Random interleaving is applied between dimensions, resulting in equivalent systematic, parallel or serially ...

MOGAD Is the Most Common Cause of Isolated Optic Neuritis in Children

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives The study aimed to characterize the clinical features, etiologies, and outcomes of isolated, first‐time pediatric ON in the post‐MOG‐IgG era. Methods This was a single‐center retrospective cohort study at Texas Children's Hospital of patients diagnosed with first‐time ON between 2018–2024, with follow‐up data collected through 2025.

Evaluation of Digital Technologies for Home‐Based Assessment in People With Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Digital technologies hold promise for transforming healthcare by enhancing personalized treatments and offer valuable opportunities to improve patient care. Here, we evaluated several novel, self‐administered, home‐based, digital endpoints for their association with corresponding conventional standard clinical measures (primary) in ...
