Analysis of railway wheel profile [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023

Theoretical foundations, practical applications and pedagogical challenges of the mathematics teacher's specialised knowledge model: A qualitative systematic review in secondary education

open access: yesReview of Education, Volume 14, Issue 2, August 2026.
Abstract This systematic review analyses 32 studies published between 2013 and 2024 on the Mathematics Teacher's Specialised Knowledge (MTSK) model, with the aim of understanding its theoretical development, practical applications and contributions to teacher education in secondary and pre‐university contexts.

Limit wheel profile for hunting instability of railway vehicles

open access: yes, 2010
Given a railway vehicle and a track, is it possible to define a wheel limit profile that allows the vehicle to run at a given speed without the occurrence of unsafe hunting motion?

A SIMPLE METHOD OF WHEEL PROFILE DESIGN FOR TARGET VALUE OF EQUIVALENT CONICITY

open access: yes, 2023
Ekvivalentní kuželovitost patří mezi nejdůležitější parametry dvojice dvojkolí kolej. Hodnota ekvivalentní kuželovitosti závisí na průběhu změny velikosti valivých poloměrů kol v závislosti na příčné výchylce dvojkolí, tzv.

Measured‐State Conditioned Recursive Feasibility for Stochastic Model Predictive Control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 11, Page 5964-5981, 25 July 2026.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we address the problem of designing stochastic model predictive control (SMPC) schemes for linear systems affected by unbounded disturbances. The contribution of the paper is rooted in a measured‐state initialization strategy. First, due to the nonzero probability of violating chance‐constraints in the case of unbounded noise ...

Upscaling the Strength Domain of Heterogeneous Cohesive‐Frictional Materials via a General FFT‐Based Limit Analysis Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 12, 30 June 2026.
ABSTRACT Limit analysis and yield design provide a well‐defined mathematical framework for upscaling the strength properties of heterogeneous materials. These techniques can be incorporated into an FFT‐based computational micromechanics framework to evaluate the strength of heterogeneous materials, based on images of their microstructure.

Topological Point Defects in SmC* Liquid Crystals Under Mechanical Disturbance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 11, 9 June 2026.
Tangetial air jet shear inducess island formation and nucleates topological point defects in uniform SmC films. Island bounded by edge dislocation loops shrink and transform into isolated point defects under continued shear. Mechanical perturbatio provides a controllable route for defect engineering in smectric liquid crystal thin films.

Impact of Wheel Wear on Dynamics Performance of CR200J EMU Trailer and Control Cars

open access: yesChengshi guidao jiaotong yanjiu
Objective In response to stability alarm faults occurring in CR200J EMU trailer and control cars in certain sections, it is necessary to analyze the factors affecting the dynamics performance to analyze the causes and address the issues.

Investigation of Contrast Retention in PCOM Aneurysms as a Possible Marker for Instability and Rupture

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Biomedical Engineering, Volume 42, Issue 6, June 2026.
Flow stagnation, as seen here in a growing and a ruptured aneurysm, may be helpful to identify aneurysms with future potential for instability or rupture. ABSTRACT Identification of cerebral aneurysms at risk of destabilization and rupture remains challenging.

Parametrización del gálibo de material ferroviario [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
